Ford Fiesta RS1800i 1994 - After Ford removed the turbo from the Fiesta range its replacement was the RS1800i , producing roughly the same 130 horse power but without the punch in the back, sales were slow until eventually, after only a couple of years it too was dropped. Up till now this great little car has lived in the shadow of its predecessor, but with their ability to blow up without notice and after years of British winters, nice Turbo cars are very collectable and expensive which leads people to try the 1800i instead. Normally, much to their surprise, they find the 1800i a nicer car to drive, in the real world being just as quick and agile, but better on fuel and much cheaper to insure. Now with only 25 examples left taxed for road use the values like all performance Fords and Hot Hatches are going up, mint examples commanding high prices. This particular car is a late in the run 1994 model with only 64200 miles recorded on the odometer. There is a stamped service book through to 45,000 and with MOTs back to April 06 with 45175 recorded through to the latest in March this year showing 64200, this mileage although not guaranteed could well be correct. The top side of the car is stated to be in good order, not mint but nice and polishes well. There are minor faults here and there but still very presentable. Underneath the vendor says that although good for its last MOT he does feel that there may well be some work required to the sill areas at some stage in the future.Driving well, its engine which only recently had a minor service, pulls very willingly with no known nasties. The same is said about its transmission, the gearbox being both smooth and precise and the clutch is in good working order. The electrics all work and the general mechanics have no known faults. The cloth trimmed sports interior complete with Recaro seating is tidy with just the usual wear and tear found in an unrestored car of this age, not filthy dirty and full of holes, like some and still very useable as is.With an MOT till 26th of June this year, low recorded miles, some history and in a sought after colour, this good looking baby Ford would double nicely as a commuter in the week and with some effort, a show car at the weekends.

Vespa 150 Sprint Veloce 1974 - This very nice 1974 Vespa 150 Sprint Veloce VLB1T model was purchased by the vendor soon after it had been restored as a surprise for his wife, she could then accompany him on her own bike rather than on the back of his GL1800 Honda Goldwing. Well gents we know how that can work out sometimes!! She really did not like the idea, or the Scoot and it has spent its time ever since, sat unused in a garage. At this point we have to bring your attention to the fact that on the V5 it shows as a 125cc but it is a 150cc model. You would need to correct this when in your possession to make it correct. As previously mentioned, it really has not been used since its restoration and still shows 5 kms on the odometer, the vendor has bought a MPH clock for it and this will form part off the sale. Once imported from sunnier climes the restorer set about just about every part of the bike, replacing where needed and restoring elsewhere. The tyres on it are still as good as new as is the very nice shade of coral paintwork (just a minor mark on the l/h side of the front mudguard from storage that might polish out). The all-important chassis supports running across under the foot wells are excellent with no corrosion evident. The twin seats are perfect as is the matching spare wheel cover.Mechanically the engine starts easily and the gears select correctly, all the electrics work. The current MOT runs out in April prior to the auction but we see no reason why, past some gentle recommissioning, this scooter would struggle passing its next one. Correctly registered as Historic tax class on its V5 and on the right age related price. A sought after scooter that came standard with the better 10 inch wheels. In great condition and perfect for a collector or a fan of these iconic machines.

One that has been fully refurbished and comes with its own cd and photographic record of all the work done, plus a file full of invoices. To quote the vendor. Daimler DB18 1947 Royalty Owned - What lurks in the various out-buildings, barns and garages of Essex never ceases to amaze us and is one of the joys of being a car lover doing this job. Not just the fantastic cars but their history and their owners themselves. This car is a perfect example of that. Its not every day you open a door on a non-descript pre-fab garage in the back garden of a house in a sleepy Essex village to be greeted with not only a 1947 Daimler DB18 that has been owned by its current owner for 30 plus years but one that was owned and registered from new to Her Majesty Marie of Yugoslavia!!KKJ 333 was registered to her on the 13th of October 1947, she kept it right through to when she died in June 1961. In October of that year ownership transferred to her son His Royal Highness Prince Andrew of Yugoslavia. Then on the same day (02/10/1961) it was given to and ownership transferred to what is thought to of been her Equerry Colonel M. Prosen OBE. According to various sources, below are the various titles she was known as. Note: She adopted Marie which was her mothers name rather than Maria, when she moved to England.6 January 1900 8 June 1922: Her Royal Highness Princess Maria of Romania, Princess of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen8 June 1922 6 January 1929: Her Majesty The Queen of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes6 January 1929 9 October 1934: Her Majesty The Queen of Yugoslavia9 October 1934 29 November 1945: Her Majesty Queen Maria of Yugoslavia, The Queen Mother29 November 1945 22 June 1961 in pretence: Her Majesty Queen Maria of Yugoslavia. The current owner of the car, himself of advancing age, last used it in 2009 when he also MOTd it. Since then it has sat on blocks in his dry garage and has survived miraculously well. To the point that when we offered to collect the car he said Why? I will pump the tyres up and drive it over! It is a time warp car, one that has never been restored and looks to be 100% original. Yes the interior now needs some restoration to the leather seats etc but it is 70 years old! The dash is very good as are the roof lining and door cards. It would almost be a shame to do any more than just the bare minimum to the interior, that way saving the originality.Body work is in its original black finish and very solid, no nasty holes of anything like that, no its not like new its old and all the better for it. Not that it wouldnt respond well to a deep polish we are sure.Mechanically? Well the vendor is driving it to the auction so that speaks volumes but we would still recommend an amount of recommissioning to be on the safe side. He says the 2.5Litre straight 6 engine runs very well and the gearbox selects correctly. Tyres are useable but are getting old. Electrics function. This really is a bit of Royal History, rare to the point that it is thought to be the only one registered to a Yugoslavian Queen and rare to of survived so well. Value? Who knows with this history? The vendor has set what he feels is a fair reserve and we have valued it accordingly.NOTE: Kind thanks to Mr Brian Smith (DLOC Historian) for a copy of the original invoice the car was sold on to Queen Marie by The Daimler Company LTD of Coventry.

Citroen 2CV Charleston 1985 - A delightful 1985 Citroen 2CV Charleston that has only had 3 previous owners and covered a low 35,400 miles from new. With its last owner having it for 14 years, she meticulous maintained it by using The 2CV Workshop in Cornwall and has kept their service invoices to prove. That coupled with the fact that it has just undergone a light restoration/refresh by a local 2CV Specialist goes a long way to explaining its current excellent condition.Body work is very good needing no paint while the interior again is in the same good order. Mechanically it is described as very good and all the electrics etc work as designed. So with its current MOT going through to the 18 of July this year and its excellent maintenance history this 2CV is ready to go to a new owner to enjoy.

Audi 100 Avant Quattro 1990 - Audi Quatro, just the words make Petrol Heads round the world smile. We all know the history of the all-conquering 4 wheel drive system that Audi created in the early 80s. Today it is up there with names like Cosworth or M-Series with all models of Audi so equipped being very desirable hence collectable and future classics if not already. This particular car, a 1990 model so in the last year of production, is coming out of long term ownership by an elderly gent, who has had it for 12 years or so. Equipped with the most powerful non turbo engine offered, the 2.3 litre 5 cylinder petrol version and a manual 5 speed gearbox. It has adequate performance and the prodigious grip of the 4wd, so making it fun to drive but still useable as a family car or load lugger .Engine oil pressure is very good and there are no nasty noises, smoke etc.Although there is some early history, the current owner has always maintained the car himself with 4 new brake discs, new brake pads and one new calliper being fitted less than 400 miles ago. One thing the vendor has bought to our attention is over the years he has had on going problems with the speedometer giving either random readings (high and low) or none at all, he has tried various speedo heads etc to no avail, each time resulting in him refitting the original unit. This as it is now, does not display the MPH unless you press the reset button hard while in motion?? He did change the speedo drive a couple of years back at the same time he fitted a new clutch (gearbox was out as an MOT tester had pointed out it had a leaky seal so needed replacing) but since then the clock has behaved in this way. With such little use each year and the way he drove it (slowly), he felt it was not worth getting involved with any more but wanted to let any new owner know. As far as the rest of the car goes, body work is very straight and will polish nicely (sorry about the poor pictures, wet day and dirty roads) Interior is excellent as you can see in the pictures, complete with the rear load cover and fully equipped. Electrics all work except the drivers window that seems to of stopped but was working last time he drove it (he thinks?).MOT is through to the end of June. The vendor does have a small amount of spares with the car which will go with it, things like a spare fuel pump etc and the cars original owners pack. There are also a genuine Roof- bars and a Hide-away tow bar fitted, apparently rare options.

Mitsubishi FTO GPX Mivec Tiptronic 1995 - Having only had two owners since arriving here in the UK in 1997 this lovely condition Sports Coupe has still only got just over 119000 Kms on the clock (73000 miles) and comes with loads of history and old MOTs to back this up.The body work is very good and still in its original and rare to find black paint with the correct graphics in place. There is no rust or signs of repair just a nice deep shine from years of being looked after and polished. Its under the bonnet where the fun is though, here you will find the GPX variant of probably one of the sweetest V6 petrol engines made. Mitsubishis V6 24 Valve Double Over Head Camshaft Mivec which produces a claimed 200HP at 7500 Rpm. More than enough to give the car shall we say a spirited performance especially when coupled to a tiptronic auto as this one is. The GPX sensibly also comes with larger brakes than its lower powered siblings and wide alloy wheels, which on this car are in great condition with no kerb marks or corrosion. These cars love the twisty bits that is in no doubt, but they are also more than happy on a motorway or in town traffic. Click the gearbox back over to full auto, switch the air con on and enjoy.Interior is all good and comes fully optioned with power windows, door locks and electrically adjusted door mirrors that also fold at the press of a button. The heating and ventilation is a full climate control system. Seats are fully adjustable sports type in the front and there is room in the back for two kids or smaller adults.Mechanically everything is stated to be very good and there is a current MOT through till September so it is ready to go. With the classic car market now viewing Japanese cars as proper classics it is hardly surprising that a lovely sporting coupe like this, when in this condition and spec, are becoming sought after. Good looks, stunning reliability, excellent road holding and performance, what is there not to like?

Volkswagen Beetle Convertible 1973 - While not a genuine Karmann , this 1973 Beetle convertible has been converted very well at some point in its life, probably around the time it is said to be restored in the early 80s and now while not a concourse example presents very well. The soft top is easy to remove and when in the raised position does not leak, that in itself is very unusual. But lets face it, with the vinyl interior who cares if you get caught out by our un-predictable weather, you buy a soft top V-Dub to enjoy with the roof down and it looks so much better that way. This particular car, being a 73 has the desirable metal dash and earlier rear lights etc plus the benefit of being in the Historic tax class so tax free. After being in storage, being part of a private collection that is being reduced in numbers and on a horrible cold drab day its 1300cc engine fired straight up, no nasty rattles or noises and soon settled into that strange tick over peculiar to VW air cooled engines, blowing smoke rings in the mist. Mechanically the vendor describes the car as being very good and as such he will be placing a new MOT on the car prior to the auction.Body work is very solid with little or no sign of rust, nice solid footplates and heater channels, paint is good quality with a nice shine to it. Interior is clean and tidy and described as good. The fabric hood is good with just some cracking to the beading around the edges from being folded. All the electrics function as designed and the general mechanics of the car are described as very good. All in all, a cheap way into owning a classic VW Beetle convertible in these days of high values being seen at sales throughout the world, with the added advantage for us of being Right Hand Drive.

Opel GT 1972 - Found lurking in a barn in the South of France is this abandoned restoration Opel GT Coupe. Its then French owner had restored the body work into the very good condition you see here today and then run out of funds to complete it. A shame really as such a good job had been done up to this point. Now back here in the UK and being offered As is with the French papers to register with once completed. The engine runs very well and the car does move under its own steam but its things like a new ignition switch is required as the keys were lost so a simple flick switch and push button have been wired in to do the job. The gearbox selects all the gears but obviously the car has not been road tested, just driven on to a trailer and round a yard. The brakes do work and the car rolls freely. Its novel swivelling headlights operate correctly. The nice period alloy wheels that are fitted are in good order along with the tyres and the chrome work is good. Interior is a bit bitty, needs finishing if you like, but appears to be mostly there with the seats being in good order. This is a 15K plus car in the making and what you see is what you get. You will need to source some of the smaller trims etc that are lost but these are all available out there in WWW land. Reserve is set below what we think but the vendor wants to sell not keep. A definite opportunity to buy a very sort after car that the hard work has been done on for you, now well within the realms of the amateur restorer or father and son/daughter team.

Vauxhall Cavalier Convertible 1986 - We cannot remember the last time we saw one of these! A 1986 Vauxhall Cavalier Cabriolet! Launched to compete in the lucrative market against the other Convertible offerings on the market. The standard 2 door coupe body was converted by Hammond and Thiede in Germany. When the records begin in 1995 there were 708 examples registered for road use here in the UK, by the end of 2016 there were only 58 left.
No doubt the reason why this example has survived so well is that it has come from a very eclectic collection of vehicles that the elderly owner has finally decided to start to sell on, all of which are stored indoors. With only 81676 miles on the clock but unfortunately no history, you can only judge the car on its condition if this is correct? But look at the seat material, carpets etc (never known for lasting) and we feel it is more likely than unlikely to be right. Just our observation though, you decide.
Its 1800cc engine fires instantly no fuss and soon reaches temperature and the vendor tells us it drives well. The 5 speed manual gearbox operates correctly as do the brakes and general mechanics. It will be having an MOT prior to sale so everything will have to work correctly either way.
The body is very sound with the silver paintwork being very good. The convertible hood is manually lowered, is fully functioning and in good order. Interior as we said, is very good needing little more than a freshen up from sitting unused.
A rare car and different from the more common Ford, BMW and VWs you see. Would make a good show car, first classic or everyday user classic all at an affordable price.
NOTE. Now MOTd for a year including 4 new tyres.

Morris Minor Million 1960 - In 1960 the Morris Minor made history when it became the first British built car to sell 1,000,000 units! Hardly surprising when you think this incredibly hardy and reliable car was produced to do just about every job a motorised vehicle could do at the time. From Mid-wifes to post men, families, single people you name it there was a Moggy in the range that fitted the bill. To mark this achievement 350 Lilac coloured cars were produced with a white leather interior and black piping on the seats, special badging and wheel embellishers. This was called the 2Minor Million
This early in the run 1960 produced example comes to auction after a 15 year long ownership by the vendor. In his own words condition wise it is Like a four year old car With the exterior, interior and mechanics all being described as Excellent with a sub note on the interior maybe benefiting from a light wash, but all original.
Having only had 2 owners and showing a believed correct, but not guaranteed, low mileage of only 32000 miles, this lovely rare Moggy has just past its MOT on the 3rd of March so that will see the new owner through to next year.
With now less than 60 apx. Left in existence of the 320 Right Hand Drive versions made, these Millions rarely come to market so this represent any collector or enthusiast an opportunity to own a bit of British motoring history and one that will only go up in value.

MG Midget Chrome Bumper 1961 - This 1961 Midget is a non-restored , early model car powered by the 948cc Engine and having no exterior door handles, so for the purists the one to have and very rare to find anywhere near this condition, outside of a museum or private collection.
The exterior paint, chrome and hood are all in excellent condition, the roof being only recently replaced so still like new, completed with the correct wing mirrors and a nice rear luggage rack correctly mounted on the boot. Interior is very good with its wooden MG steering wheel, MG gearstick and very nice leather trim
The engine is a little screamer that loves to be revved, matched well with the close ratio gearbox and short throw gear lever making these diminutive cars such fun to own and drive, proving that with a good chassis, you do not have to be going at 100mph to enjoy yourself.
Overall the general mechanics and electrics are very good and there is an engine immobiliser fitted for a bit of extra security. There is loads of paper work with the car, amongst which is a Heritage Trust certificate confirming its year etc and an MOT through to next year.
These early model Midgets are so hard to find like this and prices have soared in the last few years, making this a rare opportunity to own a bit, ok small bit of British motoring history at a sensible price.
dget.

Mercedes 230 CE 1982 - After 10 years of ownership this glorious Mercedes 230 Coupe is now only available due to loss of storage. When first purchased the vendor had the paintwork refreshed and a rebuilt engine was fitted (bill for the engine fit was 2600 back in 2006!) Since then the car has been used intermittently, sometimes spending a couple of years at a time in storage and has only covered 6000 miles in his ownership and 142000 in total, backed up by many old Mot certificates.
The body work is still in very good order as when the paintwork was refreshed all or any poor areas were rectified and 10 years on it has a lovely deep shine to the paintwork with just one or two very small bubbles below the paint but no rust. Chrome work is bright and all emblems are present and correct. The vendor does point out that although the sun roof works, when left outside it would leak in the rain so he has temporarily put sealant around part of the edge, this stopped the leak but also the sun roof operation (obviously).
Interior is good but there is a slight miss-match with the drivers seat from being replaced at some point and some staining on the front passenger seat base caused by the sun roof leak, this should clean though. Otherwise apart from minor cracks on the dash and a small nick out of the vinyl on the center console, all very easy to repair but not something that bothered the vendor, a nice interior.
Over the years the vendor has replaced things like brake callipers and tyres as and when required, so has maintained the car. As such if you chose to, you could use as is or address the small problems and have a superb example of this very sought after iconic Mercedes Coupe. With his loss of storage in mind he has set the reserve lower than we advised so someone is going to get a bargain. MOT is through to January 2018 so tax, insure and enjoy.

SAAB 93 TURBO Convertible 2001 - Now no longer in production, SAABs are slowly beginning to find ownership in the hands of collectors outside of the owners club. This is because they are a very good car, excellent build quality and strong mechanics. This is what bought about the companies down fall. A refusal to compromise on quality and build to a price which eventually caused GM the parent company to cry Enough and close the Marque down.
This lovely April 2001 example is a 93 Convertible with very low mileage and owned by members of the Saab owners club. Being an SE spec car it is fully loaded with all the toys, reverse sensors, power hood etc etc . With better quality leather seating and wood finishes in side. The cab is a nice place to spend some time and puts many a more expensive car to shame.
Its 38150 recorded mileage is backed up by a full history. Its MOT history shows 20949 in 2006 and in fact apart from 2012 when it needed new rear tyres then in 2016 a rear box on the exhaust, this car has not failed an MOT quite a feat for a 16 year old car. Mechanically it is spot on, its 2 liter engine is equiped with the High Output turbo so not to be confused with the lesser low pressure unit, giving it a very useful turn of speed, pulling strongly through all the gears and making for easy overtaking when required. Overall the rest of the general mechanics and electrics work exactly as Saab designed them too.
Exterior is very nice, the roof condition is stunning. There is the odd car park dink on its flanks but nothing that detracts from its overall good looks. With an MOT through to November this car if properly looked after will last its new owner for years by which time its ridiculously low value today will be a thing of the past we are sure.

Land Rover County 1982 - As you can see by the pictures, this 1982 Land Rover County has not been restored, more rebuilt from the chassis up with little or no mechanical components not receiving attention along the way.
The engine received a full service prior to refitting then a new exhaust and Carburettor were fitted. Transmission wise new prop bearings and seals throughout. So both are now excellent. All the electrics were overhauled and now everything works as it should. The chassis was stripped back and any problems rectified prior to the application of anti-rust treatment to give years of trouble free ownership. Brakes were renewed throughout as were any bushes etc. while under there.
Now back in one piece and with an MOT through to next year this is one Land Rover that is ready for its new owner. While the body is very good, it is the original panels and paint, being described as having one or two dents but good for a 35 year old car.
Interior is the 6 seater in Delux Techno Grey described as excellent as its all new. On the road the 2386cc petrol engine pulls well with plenty of power and the manual gearbox functions as it should. All the running gear is new or refurbished so again is described as excellent.
Coming with the long MOT is a clear and full photographic record of the restoration and lots of old MOTs. If you are looking for a properly sorted Landy then you really should have a close look at this one. They are getting rarer by the day and good ones are few and far between.
