Morris Minor Split Window 948cc 1955 Having been owned by the vendor for the last five years this delightful Moggy Split Screen is in very nice condition throughout and comes with lots of paperwork receipts and old MOTs. Over the year various restoration works have been carried out making it the nice car it is today.

The overall condition of the exterior and interior are both said to be very good the gloss black exterior having a good shine to it while the red interior is in nice contrast and very presentable. There is some ageing in places but that just adds to the feel of the car.

Mechanically everything is spot on the 948cc motor pulling the car along happily while the gearbox and clutch work correctly. These cars are not meant to be raced about just enjoyed at a more sedate pace of life but if you do feel the need they make the most of their small engine and easy to live with basic suspension and are surprisingly sure footed and agile hence why when first launched the Police Mid Wifes Etc Etc used a Moggy.

Over all the electrics and general running gear conditions are rated as very good so no problems there and everything functioning correctly and of course it is road tax and MOT free.

Backed up by a worldwide owners club with spares and advice on hand by the bucketful its hardly surprising that these robust fun and easy to live with cars are one of the most popular classic cars on the market today.

Jaguar XK8 4.0l Convertible 2001 This very nice 2001 Jaguar XK8 Convertible is in one of the most sought after colour combinations. Its dark blue metallic paint sets off the lovely cream leather interior especially when the roof is down.

Coming with a fair amount of service history and receipts documenting the 130000 recorded miles but importantly in with the receipts is a bill for the 1000 very recently spent with Jag specialist Winspeed Motorsport for a full service including new timing chains. So mechanically the engine is excellent. The gearbox is said to be excellent as well lovely silky smooth changes and functioning exactly as designed.

With 130K on the clock the vendor does say that while the body work is very clean and straight there are some age related marks to the paintwork but on the whole it shines nicely and very presentable. While the same could be said for the interior no major problems past some wear to the front seat bolsters and some marks on the roof lining but overall in good condition.

General mechanics and electrics on the car are excellent with new front brakes being fitted for its MOT in March this year (otherwise no advisories) and the electrics fully functioning.

Being offered with a very reasonable reserve this 4 litre Jaguar Convertible represents seriously good value especially with summer just round the corner. Just leave as is and enjoy or get a full valet and recolonization carried out and Polish on the Pounds it will only go up in value.

Jaguar Sovereign 4.0Litre 1995 When our member of staff returned from collecting this very nice 4 litre 1995 Jaguar Sovereign he said Something is not right about that Jaguar? I am driving down the road thinking how lovely the interior is and how the drivers seat is in unusually good condition none of the usual wear evident on the side bolster when I glanced at the odometer thought it said 80000 and was shocked to realise it said 180000!

Sold new by Dutton Forshaw they serviced it 7 times through to 1999 at 69806. Then an independent Jag dealer took over for the next 5 2005 115189 miles lastly a further independent did the next 7 services up to 2012 and 166837 miles which is the last service recorded in the book All three of these companies were in the same locality so the mileage would appear to be correct. In its service history box is a good couple of inches of bills documenting the thousands spent on the maintenance of the car and a copy of the advert the car was sold again by Dutton Forshaw in 1998 for 22500. The thing we have had bought tour attention is that when viewing the DVLA history of the car the recorded mileage bounces all over the place up and down. We assume that the car was suffering at some point with the common fault of a poor speedo sensor? We have bought this to you attention as requested.

The car itself drives very well with no vices shown over a half an hour 25 mile journey down dual carriage way and queuing traffic. It is the twin air bag model with ABS and being a Sovereign is fully loaded. The engine is very quiet and smooth good oil pressure and water temp as it should be. The 4 speed automatic gearbox with Sport mode option changes very nicely so both engine and gearbox are described as very good.

The rare Topaz coloured exterior is in very good condition a few minor marks here and there but very presentable. The alloy wheels are good but their center caps are missing. The interior we have talked about but worth mentioning that the common fault of the roof lining sagging is not evident in this car.

Apart from the service history and bills in the box is also a full set of owners books including the salesman that sold it when new business card and the plastic radio security card all in the original leather wallet. Plus old MOTs and some old tax discs as well as the current MOT until 26th June 2017. A whole lot of car with a personal plate thrown in.

Mercedes CL600 V12 2001 With a price north of 110000 when new in 2001 the Mercedes CL600 with its sublime 360Hp V12 engine was a statement few could afford to make. Today they are one of the most ridiculously underpriced cars on the market less than one tenth of its price new.

This particular example was first registered in May 2001 and as shown by its MOT history in 2006 had still only covered 51000 miles and now with 80000 miles on the clock is still barely run in. Its engine is still as quiet and smooth as when new giving effortless performance with seamless gear changes through its automatic box. There is a bill from 2015 for 1416.80 for a service on the suspension a new radiator new rear brake pads an oil and filter service plus a new battery.

Cocooning its occupants in luxury behind its double glazed windows seated in high quality leather and looking at a hand stitched leather dash board. There are too many options on this car to list but all appear to work and there are no warning lights on the dash board. The interior is in very good condition throughout.

Exterior of the car is very good with very few stone chips or marks to talk of. The AMG alloy wheels do have one of two small areas of lacquer lifting on the edges so could do with a light refresh or polish. General mechanics are very good and the electrics are excellent.

This car with its subtle chrome V12 badges on its flanks still turns heads it does not shout I am a very quick car like some other manufacturers Sport Coupes do its more subtle thats why those in the know love these cars and why prices are now on the move back up. Coming with its original owners wallet and an MOT until December 2017 you can insure and drive home.

Ford Anglia Museum Piece 6352 Miles Warranted Manumatic Auto 1958 A stunning piece of British motoring history!! This beautiful 1958 Ford Anglia 2 owner car was owned by its first owner until 1999 then by a Ford main dealer that displayed it in their showroom they have issued a letter confirming the cars mileage and authenticity and this we have on file. While with the dealers they carried out a program of sympathetic rejuvenation including but not limited to things like new bumpers hub caps carpets etc plus some work to the cars wiring loom. Apart from these items the car is 100% original and never welded or painted in all these years.

Today the original paint does have minor scratches and marks but it would be a tragedy to paint it and spoil this originality. The interior apart from the carpets is as it left the factory and perfect.

The most unusual feature of this car is its gearbox this is believed to be a one year only option clutch less Two Pedal system called either a Newton or Manumatic Drive the car comes complete with the booklet telling the new owner how to operate it. Basically you preselect the gear and then accelerate this causes a centrifugal clutch to engage drive and off you go. The vendor has spent a lot of time getting this back into full working order after so little use for so long. While recommissioning the car he also completely rebuilt the brake system (every part including master cylinder all 6 wheel cylinders hoses shoes grease and seals all new). Rebuilt the carburettor so now it starts first push of the button (literally) replaced the service items spark plugs points leads cap coil condenser. Flushed the water system through and even renovated the vacuum wipers so they now work.

Underneath is basically corrosion free but the vendor wishes us to point out that there are 2 VERY MINOR places where there are a sign of corrosion one at the base of the off side rear wing (on the seam) the other the battery box both as he said very small but are there.

This car represents a once in a life time chance for the avid Ford collector or collectors of rare one off cars. Price is to be advised.

Buick Riviera Special 1956 This stunning and crowd stopping 1956 Buick has just undergone some restoration work to bring it to the standard you see today.

The two tone exterior in Glacier Green over white has benefited from a full respray that has been done to a very high standard. While the acres of exterior bright work a mix of chrome and stainless steel is original with the chrome work being perfect and the stainless not far behind.

The interior is fabulous chrome everywhere and all in great condition the two tone trim matching the exterior colour scheme. Sitting in it you look about and realise just how much work and detail went into American cars of this era and why they ruled the roads for so many years as other countries manufacturers struggled to catch up!

Under the hood you will find a smooth running and very healthy 322 cu in (thats 5.3 litres to us) V8 engine with the transmission being a Dynaflow auto gearbox. Both are described as superb. While no record setter with this combination comes a surprisingly fleet performance for a car of this size more than enough to keep up with modern traffic and motorway speeds. Luckily the brakes on this car are described as Superb as well!

The reaction you get when driving this car is unbelievable people actually stop to let you out into traffic want to talk to you in garages and car parks rather than look at the floor and shuffle past. As the vendor says Put extra time on for a journey to allow for people wanting to talk to you

As with all old cars there are a few minor electrical gremlins and the next stage the vendor would of gone to just for his own piece of mind as nothing actually wrong at the moment is a steering and suspension freshen up to tighten things up a bit and just some extra detailing here and there. But these are things the next owner can do if they are as fussy as him and part of the fun of owning this wonderful piece of 50s Americana.

Bentley Brooklands (Non Turbo) 1995 If you want a bit of British Motoring History and to sit behind the wheel of a car that has more presence than a certain Mr Trump this has got to be the car for you. The Bentley Brooklands has presence by the bucketful and you have to admit that looking at these cars can still make you proud to own one. Bentley stuck religiously to their past while others moved away from the sort of quality that used to be found in up market cars. With useable cars like this one available at very affordable prices and bringing that Bentley experience with it.

The Brooklands green exterior of this car is in excellent condition with no more than the odd stone chip but certainly nothing significant. While the contrasting parchment interior with complimenting green piping is in fantastic condition just some minor wear marks to the drivers seat and again nothing to worry about.

Mechanics on the car are very good including the engine and automatic transmission with the non turbo charged V8 giving More than enough performance to entertain the driver. There is a service history up to about 10 years ago but as the vendor is a mechanic he has maintained the car himself since he purchased it six years ago.

As he says With 96000 miles on the clock this car has been very reliable . Its not concours but if you are looking for a useable Bentley that drives superbly and that is not going to break the bank this is the perfect car and one with its MOT until December you can get in and drive anywhere in comfort and who are we to argue? The value of these beautifully appointed cars hit rock bottom at one point but now nice examples are becoming more and more desirable and with the increase in demand comes the increase in values that we are now seeing. Now gone (thank heavens) are the days when a Trabant sold for more than a Bentley! So grab one while you can is our advice.

Mercedes 500SL32 1992 This very nice August 1992 Mercedes 500SL32 marked the last year of the original R129 model prior to its first update in 1993. Finished in this rare red exterior with its original colour matched hard top and with the 5.0litre 32 valve V8 producing a quoted 322HP is as desirable today as it was when new.

That big old V8 is what gives these cars that lovely lazy feel no massive push at any particular revs just a constant smooth stream of power. When launched a 6 second 060 was quoted and a top speed that was electronically limited to 155 mph but figures such as 30 to the gallon were also being obtained. Today the engine in this car is still the same starting with no problem from cold no nasty noises and still just as capable. This and the transmission in general are described as very good by the vendor. The body work is very nice with only a very few slight imperfections the majority of which can be found on the removable hard top caused from storage when not on the car. But nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the car. Lets face it once removed and with the soft top on this car being in good order the new owner will probably do the same leave it in storage.

The nice tan coloured interior has survived very well just slight wear evident on the outer side seat bolster drivers side and one small snag in the base. An easy fix if not left to get worse and done now. The dash carpets and door trims are all in very good condition as are the wood veneers. In the boot and nice to have is the removable draught screen for when the roof is down.

General mechanics are all good and the car will have a new MOT prior to the auction but having had so little use over the last few years we would recommend a small amount of recommissioning. There is a service history with the car. Its first 9 stamps are Mercedes then Brooklands independents this shows a very low 51.500 miles in 1999. In 2002 Brooklands service it again but at 22766 miles? Then a mix of Mercedes and independents through to 2004 and now 40K. Next stamp shows 91K in 2007?? After that it goes back to normal no more stamps but the old Mot history shows mileage in 2011 is 95K. Between 2011 and 2015 the dash was changed to the later digital read out and shows 545 miles at its next MOT in August 2015. Today the mileage is 665. Bottom line is that although the vendor knows the mileage is low there is no way to tell exactly how low.

Offered here today with a very sensible reserve and with its original owners pack.

Jaguar XK8 Convertible 4.0Litre 1999 This 1999 example of Jaguars achingly pretty sports convertible XK8 has covered 158K miles and comes complete with its own personal number plate.

The overall exterior condition is good and the rare to see gold metallic paint presents very well with a nice deep shine that comes to life when the sun hits it. The alloy wheels are very nice and the black soft top hood is in good order. Inside you find the lovely interior of a car that may have been used and covered some distance in its life (It is a Grand tourer after all) but has been looked after. No cigarette burns or nasty stains just acres of leather and Burl wood veneer and still today a very nice place to be. Whether its a blast to the South of France with the roof down or sitting on the M25 looking out at a grey sky and wet roads hard top on heater blasting these cars are easy to live with and why they make such a good every day classic.

The vendor reports that the engine transmission overall mechanics and running gear are all in good condition and the MOT is until September the 26th. So plenty long enough to get out there with the roof down and make the most of the stunning summer we are going to have this year there is no harm in being optimistic after all.

With Etypes now all but priced out of the range of mere mortals and not everyone warmed to the XJS the XK8 is the next car in the line feeling a distinct increase in demand and why not? A storming V8 out front looks that hark back to the old days of when Jaguar ruled the road and track soft top or hard top and at prices that would not buy a new tin box from the Far East. Makes sense to us!

Mini Cooper MK2 Running Restoration Project 1969 Not on the road since 1988/9 this delightful 1969 Morris Mini cooper MK2 is an exciting car on todays market. Obviously at some point it was built with competition in mind and at one point it was registered to the same owner for 30 years we tried to contact him to no avail. The current vendor knows very little about it he bought it as you see it now because he liked it.

The engine fires up very easily and apparently Goes like the clappers! There are Abingdon Special Tuning And Downton plaques on the rocker cover but no way of proving that these are no more than that plaques! However things you can see are the Oil filter is of the remote type a larger carburettor on an ally inlet manifold silicon HT leads. The battery is in the boot along with a single competition fuel pump with fuel filters in line on both feeds from the two petrol tanks. All this work looks like it was done a long time ago Gearbox and clutch function as do the brakes.

The interior has a pair of period bucket seats a full selection of additional clocks additional fuse box mounted on the dash for ease of access. Extended switches so you can reach them more easily and a navigators map reading light all looks in good condition but not tested.

Body work seems solid and has a fibre glass roof panel? It has that great feel about it that only an old Mini has. That Yeah It might have got some bruises and not be the prettiest car on the block but you cant help liking it thing. It has not been cleaned but actually preserved as found. There is NO mot on the car and it is being offered as a running RESTORATION project.

NOTE : We will endeavour to find out more and if successful will update this listing periodically. Until then our estimate will also depend on what we can find out.

Volkswagen Beetle 1303S (Karmann) Convertible 1978 Having spent some time as part of a very varied private car collection and now only available due to a change in direction of that collection is this 1978 VW Beetle Karmann Convertible in absolutely fabulous condition!

In its extensive file amongst all the bills and old MOTs are receipts for when its restoration took place back in 1994 just the new parts and mechanicals came to 2533 and dont forget that is in 1994! Then you have to add on the cost of what judging by how good it still is today must have been a very expensive respray and you can begin to understand why the car is in such good condition. The mileage when this work took place would have been short of 69823 as the MOTs that are with it show that figure in 1996 since then only a further 10000 miles have been covered till now less than 500 miles a year on average!

As you can see the body work in its lovely deep burnt orange metallic has that deep shine only accomplished by years of being treated with only the best products. I dare say if you look long and hard there are imperfections somewhere. There is no rust. The white soft top is in very good condition and comes with its colour matched tonneau cover. All the exterior bright work is excellent.

Interior is lovely seats carpets etc are all very clean. The expensive wooden rimmed steering wheel is complimented by a wooden gear knob and window winder fittings. While under the bonnet is the correct matching spare wheel with the original pressure bottle nice black carpet and inner wings as shiny as on the outside.

Under the bonnet cover the 1600CC engine is clean and oil tight with all the appropriate air ducting and covers in place. At some point what looks to be extra sound proofing has been fitted this has dropped away in places a very minor irritant but worth a mention and an easy fix.

So with a fresh MOT and in this condition what is there to think about? Prices of these later 1303 based convertibles are strong people now realise that the later cars with the better suspension and brakes do actually drive better and with the 1600cc motor are happy cruising at motorway speeds. So all of the iconic looks that a Beetle gives but a car more at home on todays roads.

Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 Convertible 1989 Stunning in Black this 1989 5.3 Jaguar XJS Convertible with only 86000 on the clock has Main Dealer service history right up to the last service that was carried out by an Independent Jaguar Specialist at 77827 back in 2006 so only another 9000 miles covered in the last 11 years! In its history file is a stack of old MOTs going right back to its first MOT in 1992!

The black body work is very good with no corrosion past two very small areas on the tail of the boot lid where some minor bubbles under the paint are just beginning to show through. The l/h rear bumper corner does however have small area that will need to be replaced to bring the car back to excellent. Elsewhere all the bright work is very nice and the fully functioning black convertible roof is in excellent order.

Inside is the same very nice with the pale beige leather contrasting beautifully with the cars black exterior. The Burl wood veneer on the dash and throughout is in excellent condition as are the original carpets. Only the drivers seat has very minor signs of usage which is to be expected.

On the road that superb V12 engine is still as smooth as the day it was built wafting you down the road in comfort while you enjoy owning what is fast becoming one of the most sought after classic cars on the market today. The auto gearbox changes up smoothly and with a prod on the throttle down happily. If you are tempted to do that you are quickly reminded that these V12 Jags were a fast car in their day and still are today the engine note changes to a nice purposeful growl and effortlessly the scenery outside slides past a lot quicker.

The general mechanics on the car are all stated as being good and the electrics work correctly even the LCD read out on the dash mounted trip computer works now that is rare! The current MOT is until December and the original owners wallet with handbooks and Service history is with the car. Lovely!

Lot number: 180

Mini Moke Australian RHD Fully Restored 1973 The first of our two beautiful Mokes on offer is this 1971 Leyland Australia so original Right Hand Drive version. Imported in 1981 it has had one registered keeper since and today as you can see is in exceptional condition.

Since arriving on these shores when it was fully restored it has been constantly kept in top condition since. Spending most of its time garaged with very little use. Its MOT history shows that between July 2007 and March 2015 it was not MOTd for road use and when tested in 2015 it had only covered another 1291 miles at 65696. Now 2 years further on it still only has 65911 on the clock! Having recently had new tyres all round due to the old ones needing replacement due to age there will be a new MOT carried out prior to the auction.

The body work is excellent and rust free with the paint still looking fresh as said there are new tyres all round and these are mounted on very good condition alloy wheels. The engine is excellent starting easily and running very well. With the reduced weight of these Mokes the 988cc engine is more than enough to give a spirited performance if required with the gearbox helping to give a good spread of power. Clutch operation is smooth and the rest of the mechanics are very good.

Interior is spartan and in very good condition complete with proper seat belts on all the seats. There is a heater fitted but untested and not really seeing any point to it? The car does have a hood frame with it but there is no fabric cover. It does however have the clear side mounted wind deflectors to keep the breeze of you.

In the paper work is a letter from the Mini Moke Owners Club confirming that this is a genuine Leyland Australia Moke and it was manufactured in 1971. There is also a bill from 2015 for 546.32 this covers the new side deflectors and the various other parts required to fit it.

Now ultracollectable and rare in this condition this Moke would grace any collectors collection or enthusiast garage.
