Launched in late in 1994 was Jaguars new XJ Range or "X300" the first to be done under the companys new Ford ownership. While on the outside it looked fairly different to its predecessor the "X40", underneath it was more of an evolution. But in amongst the various options available was a first for Jaguar, a "super-charged" version of their superb straight six 4 litre engine that with its Eaton M90 supercharger and an air-water intercooler was quoted as producing a very healthy 322 brake horse power, enough to get it from 0 60mph in sub 6 seconds! The "X306" XJR6.

This particular Margch 1996 example has been off the road in a doctors garage since apx. 2011 but now with a new battery is running beautifully and will have a new MOT prior to being sold. Unfortunately one problem it does have and common to these cars, is the pixels on the Odometer reading and clock have deteriorated to the point it makes the mileage covered hard to read. You can see its 90 something thousand and the mileage at its last MOT was 93155, in fact all its MOTs are listed back to 2006 where it had only covered 65859 miles, so not a high miler for sure.

The Interior is very good and points again to its low recorded mileage. Just the drivers outer side seat back bolster showing signs of duress. Otherwise the leather has survived very well indeed and you get that lovely air of quality when sat inside that so many other companies try so hard to replicate but somehow just dont get it right? The electrics all appear to function, 4 way electric windows, heater blower, electric front seat etc. Even the original stereo is still in place and working along with its electric aerial.

Body work is good but never having been restored there are areas where the lacquer on the paint has thinned from excessive polishing, mainly on the boot lid. Some dinks and marks here and there but very little rust and still looks great! The special alloys the "R" came with are very good, in fact the spare looks brand new!

The engine? Well thats as silky smooth as the day it left the factory with the 4 speed "switchable" Automatic box it is coupled to, changing gear seamlessly. Oil pressure is very good, temperature sits just on the normal mark and does not move. In fact if it was not for the Rev counter, on tick over with the windows closed, you would think it had stalled! Press the throttle and no being thrown back in the seat like a turbo charged car does, just an instant increase in power, no lag, just a constantly increasing "push" until the box changes gear, then off you go again.

General mechanics and electrics are all good and as said will be up to or past the MOT requirements. Cars such as this just could not be available for such little amounts of money for much longer in fact values are now up and will continue in that direction we are sure. With only 6500 "XJRs" being built over a 4 year production run, this is already a rare car!

NOTE: New MOT in place and the vendor tells us it had 4 new tyres fitted.

Fiat 500L 1970 "Fully Restored" - The first of our beautiful Fiat 500s being offered is this 1970 500L that has been fully restored. Now fully UK registered and MOTd until December this year.

The body prior to the restoration, was rust and dent free, needing little more than some remedial paintwork so is now virtually perfect with all the chrome fittings being in good order. Interior is much the same with no damage to the seat covers or dash. Being the up-market "L" model the correct fluted door cards (with storage boxes) and carpets are in place and again are in very good condition. All the electrics work correctly.

The engine was removed and fully overhauled last year and has just had its "first" service since the overhaul so obviously runs very well. The gearbox is smooth but being the original 500 box has no synchromesh so no rushed gear changes here! The suspension was rebuilt including the all-important king-pins, brakes re-newd and new tyres fitted all round.

The vendor rightfully describes all areas of the car as very good and we are sure you will agree what a bonny little Fiat 500 it is. This delightful 500 is ready to go to its new owner and is guaranteed to make you smile each time you look at it

Having been off the road since 2012 this rare and desirable 500SL version of Mercedes sought after R107 Sports car will need some recommissioning prior to use. Mileage at its last MOT in July 2012 was 56525 and it has barely turned a wheel since. Looking at its MOT history which goes back to May 2005 the mileage then was 54465 so only 2000 odd miles in 7 years.

Being first registered 1st of August 1977 the body work has survived well , considering it is 40 years old this year, there are some small areas that need attention, predominately the trailing edge of the boot lid where there are bubbles under the paint, not broken through yet but will need to be addressed sooner than later. Otherwise the rest is good and still polishes up nicely.

Being the 500 this car is the most sort after of the range and that lovely 5 litre V8 under the hood is in fine fettle, powerful and smooth these really were a quick car in their time and still hold their own today. The auto gear box functions correctly and the rest of the general mechanics are good.

The interior is very good with little evidence of the common failure of the material Mercedes used for their seats at this time. The convertible roof is in good order too. There is no MOT currently on the car, although as said it has not been anywhere to talk of since the last one plus coming with masses of bills, invoices, all its old MOTs, this car has obviously been looked after. Only now being offered for sale as part of a downsizing in the number of vehicles owned by the vendor, a realistic reserve has been set to allow the future owner an excellent investment opportunity.

It underwent a rebuild over a period of time and is in the same condition now with many new items . As always when a bike has been idle for so many years an amount of recomissioning will be required prior to useage although it does start and run. The original papers have been mis-laid but its registration number is recorded against this bike at DVLA so it will be a simple case of applying for V5 by the new owner.PLEASE NOTE: After much argument with the powers that be aka DVLA they have now issued the current V5 but have insisted that although it is still on the original number plate MNV250 as according to their records it was fully rebuilt back in 1981 they have put that as its date of first registration with a note saying "Rebuilt-assembled from parts some or all of which were not new" ???? Having said that they have got the one owner up to 1981 then one since right, until we registered it. Below is what DVLA show on their own records/web site??? Fiat 500D "Transformabile" 1964 - Back in 1960 Fiat launched the Fiat 500D as a replacement for the outgoing model the Nuova 500. While retaining the outgoing models "suicide doors" they decided to replace the full length folding roof with one that only folded halfway, apart from that is on the rare model they called the "Transformable" making this model particularly sought after and very collectable today. Here we have a lovely example. Built in 1964 and restored approximately 10 years ago by an Italian Coachbuilder in Italy who rebuilt the engine, the interior and painted the body. Today the paint work is still very presentable with only minor imperfections. In fact all the original glass is still in place and is clear with only very fine hairline marks. All exterior trim is present, correct and in good condition and complimented by new chrome bumpers. The interior is still in great condition and it even the original over mats are present with only light marks. The engine starts with no hesitation, settles down to a nice even tick over and when on the road pulls cleanly, making the most of the 17hp that its 499cc produces. All the electrics work correctly and the overall mechanics are described as very good and there is a current UK MOT until 21st April 2017.Having watched and seen what other examples have sold for, this car is being offered with a very reasonable reserve and would complement any collection while increasing in value year on year.

Datsun 240Z Automatic 1974 - Back in the early 70s Ford Escorts were king of the hill when it came to Rallying until that is, that Japanese car company "Datsun" who made good reliable but boring cars for their non-domestic market, launched their Datsun 240Z model. It shook the world of rallying and introduced a new level that raised the bar for all other road going sport cars at the time!
This stunning looking coupe was barely any more to buy at the time than an MGB! Powered by a straight six engine producing 150 plus horsepower, equipped with independent suspension all round and a very well equipped cabin, it was soon out selling all its competitors and now today is one of the most desirable Japanese cars on the classic car market.
This particular car is a 1974 Left Hand Drive 3 owners from new example that was discovered in Bordeaux France by the vendor. After purchase he then had a very enjoyable drive back to the UK with no problems, all at a "Legal" speed of course! Its bodywork is rust free and in good order throughout as its the interior that appears to be original.
What makes this car even rarer is it comes with the optional 3 speed automatic gearbox (the vendor tells us that no more than 10% were automatics). Both the engine and gearbox are very good as are all the other mechanics. Sold with its French papers, UK MOT and Nova so ready to be registered by its new owner. ECCA are more than happy to advise or for a small fee, register on behalf of the new owner if staying here in the UK.
NOTE : REDUCED RESERVE THIS CAR IS PRICED TO SELL.

Ford Escort MK1 4 Door LHD 1100L 1973 - This very pretty rust free 1973 1100L MK1 Escort has recently arrived in the UK from sunnier climes in the south of France, hence being left hand drive.
Having been one family owned from new, who used it rarely, the odometer displays a low 53,451 KMs. While the vendor has no official way to support this and draws the conclusion that this could be correct on the strength of that was what he was told and its general condition. We do not state this is a warranted mileage, so have a good look and make your own mind up.
The body itself is very good with no signs or damage repair or rust, while under the bonnet where the suspension top plates that are famous for rusting are, same thing, never been replaced and basically as good as you will find. The silver paint still looks fresh and the chrome work is excellent.
Interior is also very good apart from a mis-match of the brown on the drivers seat due to a retrim being off colour and one small split on the dash, apart from the seat cover though all is original .
Mechanically the vendor reports that it drives very well, assisted by the fact that although only an 1100cc it has under French law the required brake servo which vastly improves the brakes over a standard 1100s system. All electrics function correctly and the general mechanics are all good including the tyres on their original rims with original hub caps.
While the values of 2 Door cars continue to rise month on month, pricing many people out of the market, 4 door variants are now becoming much more desirable (lets face it they are more user friendly if more than two people are going to regularly travel in it). Any MK1 Escort is hard to find in this condition and with a small amount of effort this car could be a show winner.
Supplied with French papers to allow age related registration if its to be registered here in the UK (advice freely given) or for the proof you need to register if exported out of the UK. Offered here with a very sensible reserve.

BMW 728i E23 1980 - This lovely condition BMW 728 E23 has only 58,600 miles recorded on its odo meter, unfortunately a previous owner has lost the history so all the vendor can say is its MOT history helps to back this up showing how little use it has actually had. The eagle eyed amongst you might recognise this car as it featured in both the TV series "Luther" and "Ashes to Ashes".
Originally registered to BMW UK then two owners since including the last being the film company. While in their keep it was professionally sprayed into the lovely bright white you see today and so the body work is very good with no rust. There is a very slight mis alignment of the rear bumper where something has nudged it in the center but other wise both bumpers are excellent without the usual BMW problems common to this era of BMs . The mechanics have just been recommissioned including items such as new brake master cylinder and brake pads and is described as driving very well. All other mechanical items are also very good. The exhaust does how ever have a slight blow so will need to be looked at soon.
Interior is original and again its condition backs up the low recorded miles, it even still has its original Blaupunkt stereo that works along with its electric aerial. All other electrics function as intended and the only thing the vendor is aware of being changed are the headlights that have been up graded to the later "Halo style".
These early E23 BMWs make for a cracking classic car you can use or show ( or both) and now rare to find as nice as this. MOTd until May next year so ready to go.

Fiat 124 Spider 1982 - Having been owned and maintained regardless of cost by the same gent for the last 31 years, this is a gorgeous example of one of the prettiest Fiats produced, the Pininfarina designed "124 Spider".

Presented in its original Rosso red with tan interior and hood, this colour combination is one of the best available. Its owner has had the paint refreshed once in his ownership, the one and only time this has been done as the paint was fully original prior to but was just beginning to fade. Today it shines beautifully after years of high quality polish being routinely applied.

The tan interior and hood are both very good with no damage and precious little wear in evidence. All the clocks and electrics function correctly and the doors shut with a satisfying "clunk".

With only 54000 miles on the clock and with all the old MOTs to back this up, the engine is as crisp as the day it was fitted and this car, being a last year of production unit, not only has the 1995cc version of Fiats famous Lampredi designed "Twin-cam" motor but it also benefits from Bosch fuel injection so giving it well over 100BHP. More than enough to give you a change to enjoy the superb chassis down the twisty bits.

Although as you can see, the original bumpers have been removed and the original steel wheels replaced with the correct period alloys, these are all available from the owner and are in good order, purely removed to enhance the aesthetics of the car in his mind(and ours). The alloys are shod with matching Michelin tyres. Along with these parts comes all of the old MOTs and Tax discs plus the hard to find, original tool kit.

You will look long and hard for a car with this pedigree, yes you might find a cheaper one but not a rust free car like this and certainly not in this condition. The reserve that has been set is a realistic one and a small price for a red Italian convertible styled by a top Italian styling house that will only increase in value.

NOTE: The personal plate shown in the pictures will be removed at point of sale and does not form any part of the transaction.

Mercedes 250SE 1966 - This lovely old 250SE Merc has spent its life living in and around St Tropez in France, where from 6 months old it was owned by a local garage owner then his son. On losing his dad the son no longer wanted the car so sold it to the vendor. He drove it back from France to the UK.
The black body work is very nice, having been refreshed about 8 years ago. Rare to see in black, it seems to emphasise this models classic lines that make these 60s Mercedes cars so desirable. Interior is original with some areas of damage to the rear seats, not unusual with this type of material, un-usual it lasted this long! The rest of the seats are good and require little more than a clean. The dash, door cards etc are all good. The odometer shows 31067 KMS so assume it has been round. For some unknown reason at some point in its life a "300" badge has replaced the original and correct "250" one? It is and always has been a 250 so who knows?
Mechanically the car is good and so it should be as in the cars recent history over 12000 Euros has been spent (with bills to prove) on things like new brakes all round including new front calipers. New carbs. New front suspension including shocks. New radiator, battery and tyres.
The engine starts easily and once warm settles into a nice even tick over and pulls the car along in a way that only these old Mercedes do. All in all a very nice example of 60s German engineering at its best and now a very sought after car for both collectors and enthusiasts. We think it is being undervalued by the vendor and is being offered with a very low reserve. Especially for a car that with very little work has plenty of scope for a further increase in value.
Supplied with original French papers for proof of age if registering here in the UK and with better pictures to follow.

Kawasaki Z1300 "Carb" NEW and UN-REGISTERED need some restoration and recommisioning - This 1979 Kawasaki Z1300 "Carb Model" has got to be one of the last, if not the last non registered Z1300 left. Built in 1979 it went into a dealership which is where it stayed until the vendor bought it. Unfortunately it had been poorly stored at some point previous to his purchasing it and the result is that it now will need a full cosmetic restoration. The chrome on the exhaust silencers has suffered as have all the painted surfaces. Brakes are free as it rolls. Electrics are untested but you would assume all good with a new battery fitted.

Mechanically obviously being effectively un-used all is good but again will need to be fully recommissioned, that more out of mechanical common sense than anything else. It is a shame that it has suffered in this way but with some time and effort the new owner will have a bike that is unique and worth an awful lot more than the estimated sale price.

Coming with a dating letter from Kawasaki, so once MOTd and insured you will be able to register it onto UK plates (age related). This is probably the last chance lovers or collectors of Japanese classic bikes will get to own a Z13 with these credentials, so dont miss it.
