Lotus Elan +2 Rare Convertible PROJECT 1970 - Offered here as a rolling Project is this very rare 1970 Lotus +2 Elan Convertible. There is no engine or gearbox available with the car, there is however a roof frame, a new dash board and fuel tank otherwise what you see is what you get. There is a V5 with it and it is a UK Right Hand Drive Car.
The vendor is in the process of trying to find any more parts he might have and this listing will be updated accordingly. The body itself appears to be very straight, unfortunately there is a small vertical crack leading from the r/h rear arch about 6 inches long that happened at some point while sitting in a garage. The dash is all there but with a cracked lens on the rev counter, the electrics are present behind it, seats all look useable but the drivers seat has split along the seam. There are various other components present so Please carefully study the pictures and make your own minds up.
Price wise? Who knows, Lotus car values are going up daily, even the more mundane models are now suddenly desirable, let alone the early Elans such as this, so the vendor has set the reserve low to allow the market to decide.

Chesil "Speedster" 356 Porsche Replica - Built using a 68 VW as a base so historic and tax free, this 356 replica Chesil Speedster is definitely one of the better 356 kits we have seen, having been built by Chesil themselves on behalf of the original owner.
No expense was spared and this shows in the finish of the light blue metallic paint on the outside, with its gold Porsche motifs, through to the interior which is blue leather with colour matched quality carpets. Then toped of with a quality mohair hood in blue. Ironically some of this is probably better quality than you would find in an original car, even the side widows are wind up so no need to carry the normally hard to find wet weather side screens around with you.
It is fitted with an 1800cc version of VWs flat four air cooled engine so this "Speedster" not only looks the part but goes well too. Chesil kits are very well thought of kits and this shows in the quality of the finished products they produce. It really is very hard to tell the difference, especially as this what also sounds right as it drives by. Thats the point though isnt it? Have a car that looks like its 100,000 that costs one fifth of that. The vendor gives all the mechanics as very good and with a current MOT through to September 2017, says it is ready to go.

Honda PC50 Moped 1975 - How cute is this? A very nice example of a Honda PC 50 Moped. It is a true moped as it has no foot rests just the fully enclosed pedals that you start it with and can "assist" on those steeper bits if you want.
It appears to be totally original apart from the seat cover which is new and only has 2900 miles on the clock. The vendor has had it in his collection, next to things like an MV Agusta, because it is so unusual to find a small capacity, classic Japanese bike in this non restored order. It does run but will need to be recommisioned and a V5 Log book will need to be applied for.
Not a whole lot of money for a bit of history .

Daimler 2.5 V8 1966 - Now with us is this very pretty example of Daimlers 250 V8 which was first registered in September of 1966. There is just something about the way these car sit with their distinctive Daimler fluted grille and rear number plate surrounds, distinctive wheel trims and badges accentuating the MK2 Jaguar lines these cars were based on. While still having the larger bumpers and over riders the 67 to 69 "250"version lost gives the appearance of a lower stance on the road.
The body work on this car was restored a few years back now and while still very presentable there are one or two areas that could do with addressing if you wanted a show car (minor bubles under the paint along the boot trailing edge being the worse of it). All the chrome is nice and original with just the front screen chrome insert missing? There is the restorers plaque in place on the drivers door sill.
The Daimler V8 engine under the bonnet fires instantly and shows very good oil pressure and is very tidy, nicely original.
Interior wise all is good with what looks to be the original leather, a little dry in places but nothing a good feed would not cure. The wood door cappings and dash are nice and all the interior fixtures and fittings are present. Instrumentation on the dash is very nice with a "period" radio correctly fitted.
Although last MOTd up to March 2016 the car has stood for a while so a small amount of recommissioning will be in order but we can confirm the gearbox selects gears and the brakes work as we have driven it a short distance ourselves. At the moment the windscreen wipers do not operate though nor does the horn. Small details and something to give you an excuse to "tinker" with in the garage. These short fallings on what otherwise is a striking car are more than reflected in the vendors expectations of value and hence the low estimated value that has been given.

Ford Granada 2.8 Ghia "Sapphire" 1979 - We are pleased to say that the vendor of this rare of rare Ford Granada has entrusted us with the sale of their Grand Fathers car a 1979 Granada "Sapphire". This effectively one owner car was purchased new from Doe Motors in Maldon and has never left the area since. Originally used as his company car, he owned a local haulage company, he then took it with him into retirement. The car only covered 68, 342 miles in all this time. Unfortunately he passed away and the car has been stood unused since approximately 1992. On passing he left the car, in his will, to his Granddaughter so this is reflected on the V5. Being she is now still only in her early twenties, she never drove the car and it is only offered on the market now to help offset the cost of furnishing her new flat.
Offered as a "Special Edition" The Sapphire was only made in 1979 with 1000 purported to of been produced and used the last of the non-injected 2.8 Granada Ghias as a base. Only available in Midnight Blue over Strato Silver, they came with Matt-Black door handles, Alloy wheels, Electric windows all round, Central locking, Power Steering, Factory Tilt and Slide metal sunroof, Headlamp Wash, Front fog lights and then on top you could option a Full Leather interior in Black, which this car also has!
After having sat for so long, we were pleasantly surprised that with a quick check of the fluids and a new battery the 2.8 V6 engine started straight up and while we would recommend a full recommissioning before use, to include a service, the engine shows excellent oil pressure and ran well enough for it to drive off the car transporter and into our storage bay, with the automatic box selecting gears without hesitation.
The car was stored in a well aired garage and as such the body work has survived very well. There are however some areas of paintwork that show signs of corrosion, more like stone chips etc that have been allowed to spread over time, but no what you would call rust and certainly no holes! The worse effected area is the edges of the sun roof outer panel next to the seal where the paint has become thin and has shrunk back a couple of millimetres from the rubber seal and the leading edge of the bonnet. Past that there are two may be three "dinks" from being well, 37 years old!
Interior is excellent for its age, no real damage just a dryness to the leather. The wood cappings and dash board are excellent and the original Radio still works. Tyres exhaust etc are all very good and the brakes work but do seem to drag slightly, a sure sign of standing. In the boot is the correct spare alloy wheel and tyre, plus the cars jack. Coming with the car is its original "Dealer Pack" with the hand book etc in it.
All in all this is probably the last chance of owning one of these very rare cars as the rest are predominately owned by collectors. We have been informed that there is now thought to be only 6 left in the world with 4 here in the UK, so an extremely rare Ford thats different from the normal fare of Escorts and Capris, being offered at a price you cannot buy a decent 105E Anglia for!
PLEASE NOTE: This car is being offered as needing "re-commissioning" that starts and drives under its own steam, not as a car you can get in and drive home and with no mot.

Porsche "Junior" Tractor 1959 - This superb 1959 Porsche Tractor is guaranteed to make you smile, whether you are an avid collector of agricultural machinery, a lover of old cars or a 10 year old lad or lass holding its parents hand at our auction. Come on its cute admit it!
Porsche like fellow supercar maker Lamborghini, owe their heritage to much humbler beginnings. Dr Ferdinand Porsche started tractor design and production in the early 30s, his remit was to produce a range of tractors that were very advanced but would be "The Peoples Tractor", solid, reliable and easy to maintain, sound familiar?
This example is a 1959 "Junior" with a single cylinder diesel engine, complete with hand throttle and brake, rear power output, sprung drivers seat and electric start. This tractor has not been restored and in fact was in use up to a couple of years ago. Press the key in, give it some throttle, push the start button and off it goes, well chugs. All three forward and the reverse gear engage correctly, the brakes work very well, but the tyres, especially the front ones, look like they have been on since 1959 and desperately need changing, but all hold pressure. The front lights work but the rear ones are missing their lenses.
The body work is excellent and the common consensus of opinion is it would almost be a shame to destroy its "patina" after surviving for so long untouched but yes, if you want a show piece then it does need to be painted.
A rare tractor and one that continues our reputation of finding rare vehicles. It is road registered but the registration would need to be reapplied for with DVLA if you want to drive it on the road as there is currently no V5 with the tractor.
Note: Light enough to be transported on a van sized transporter.

Ford Fiesta MK1 "Quartz Economy" 1.1 1983 - t still never fails to amuse me that when looking at "rare cars" like Ferraris and Jags, that a 1983 Ford Fiesta is actually a rarer sight today!
This particular example is a 1983 Fiesta Quartz 1.1 "Economy" with now only 4 examples taxed for road use and a further 3 on SORN, so only 7 left in total. First registered in February 1983 it passed into the vendors grandfathers ownership in September 1988, he owned it until it was passed to the vendor January 2016, having been off road since 1995.
Now with us to offer at Auction. We have fitted a new battery, fresh petrol and off it went! Surprised would be an understatement, but as the petrol tank had been left vented so was dry and the car had been stood in a garage until the start of 2016, maybe not?
With only 67K on the clock (no proof of this but believed to be correct) the engine sounds very good and starts easily even in the sub-zero temperatures of recent. Clutch is free and the gear box moves through all the gears. Brakes work but do drag slightly from standing. The tyres are all very old with badly perished sidewalls, but hold air. Still fitted to the original one off trimmed wheels peculiar to the "quartz" models, with their orange bands.
Body is exceptionally solid for an unrestored Ford of this vintage but shows the signs of many years of "Touch-ups" no nasty dents just a multitude of different versions of "Diamond White"! Although totally useable as is a respray would be required. An important point to make is all the original "Quartz" Exterior graphics are present and useable, just a single rubbing strip missing from the r/h rear quarter. There is an "MOT "type repair evident to the r/h outer sill but otherwise the underneath looks to be very sound but closer inspection is advised. Under the bonnet is excellent with just surface rust on the sharp edges but no rotten bulk head, battery tray or inner wings at all! Apart from some corrosion around the sun roof aperture and along the base of the rear window and lower edge of the tailgate, this has to be one of the most solid original shells you will find. It has been pointed out that it would make an excellent candidate to "re-shell" an XR2 or Super Sport Fiesta with but why would you want to, this car is rarer and original??
Interior is very good with the "Quartz "up market seats fitted with head rests and nicer cloth and apart from two cigarette burns to the rear seat base, needing no more than a light clean. Dash is un-cracked, even the radio and time clock still work. Unfortunately the head lining which is very good otherwise, does have slight damage by the back window. All the electrics seem to work apart from the rear window wiper which is missing.
Offered "as is" and ripe for either recommissioning to use or to fully restore, this is a rare Ford that was last available for sale 28 years ago and not your normal worn out example .
Sorry for the poor picture quality, better ones will follow once the fog has lifted from Essex and you can see outside! Now done.

Austin Mini Pick Up 1275cc 1977 - Having started its life as a "Knock Down Kit" and shipped out to South Africa to be re- assembled. This cheeky looking Mini "Backie" (Pick Up) was first registered in 1977. Although rust free it has at some point since been refreshed throughout and is still in a very presentable condition today.
Body work is very straight and the paint has a nice shine to it. Obviously being in the dry all its life having only recently being imported, it has not suffered the usual tin worm their British counterparts do. Under the bonnet is a very healthy 1275cc engine and a very clean engine bay. The engine fires straight up, aided by an electric fuel pump and shows good oil pressure. On the road this, plus the lighter weight of a pick-up compared to a saloon or estate, translates to a lively performance that makes you smile when you drive it. This car loves to be on country roads, with the wider "Mini Lite" style wheel and tyre package that are fitted, helping it round the twisty bits even more.
Gear box and clutch are smooth in operation, all electrics work and the overall general mechanics are described as good. Interior is presentable with non-standard seats giving a bit more comfort and support, being wider they do snag slightly when folded forward, resulting in some slight damage to the outer side of the drivers seat upright, not visible when in the down position.
With Pick Ups being far less common than saloons etc they are a rare sight on todays roads, ones as nice as this being offered in this price bracket even more so. It will come with an age related UK registration number and a fresh MOT.

Mercedes 190E 2.6 1992 - Having been released from the life as a "Film Extra" by a production company, this lovely 190E Mercedes last job was to drive the character Ruth around in the TV series Doc Martin.
First registered in October 1992 it has the desirable 2.6 litre engine, a super smooth 6 cylinder petrol engine that gives a surprisingly good turn of speed if required. Oil pressure is very good and there no nasty rattles present. The automatic gearbox, selects gears properly and generally the mechanics are described as being good throughout.
Body work is very good with no signs of rust or dents etc just the odd minor mark here and there but nothing you would worry about. Interior wise there is wear to the side of the drivers seat, a very common problem on this model, the rest of the seats are very good and have the optional front and rear arm rests. Dash is very good with no splits and all the switch gear and dials work correctly. Electric windows, with factory tinted glass front and rear are fitted, the vendor does say the l/h rear window is inoperative. Otherwise the heater blowers and central locking function correctly. A new MOT will be placed on the car prior to the sale and it comes with its service and hand books.
Mercedes poured everything into the design and production of the 190 Model range, often leading to them being referred to as the last "proper" Mercedes to be made. Hence why they were used throughout the world as taxis etc, famous for their reliability and hardiness. Recently the classic car world has woken up to just how good they are with nice examples becoming sought after.

Triumph TR7 Convertible Automatic 1981 "Resto Project" - Having spent the best part of 15 years locked away in a garage, this rare TR7 Automatic is being offered as a project car that needs some recommissioning or light restoration?
First registered in April 81 this was one of only 100 cars in this gold colour, now with only 5 TR7 Autos left in the UK taxed for road use and a further 18 on SORN, it makes you wonder how many are Gold, could this be the only one? The last registered keeper has had it since 1993 and it was at this point he carried out extensive restoration work including a bare metal respray after any rot had been cut out, an engine build and all the mechanics were over hauled. The body repairs are documented in a pictorial file. Along with these pictures are all the invoices for the engine work etc and MOTs from 1986 to 1999 helping to back up the 76000 miles on the clock.
Unfortunately it has been left standing outside for the last couple of years and this has taken its toll. Paintwork is still good, just a few areas that need attention. Body work is very straight, the only significant damage being a small dent about the size of a ten pence on the front corner of the l/h front wing. Interior is good, a couple of small nicks in the seat squabs and some slight damage to the outer edge of the drivers seat back, all an easy repair. Dash board, clocks, switch gear, carpets are all good. The convertible top needs at the least new side windows and some minor repairs to the vinyl surrounding them, caused by the owners son trying to put the roof down on a freezing cold morning!
We put a new battery on and some water in the rad, and she fired up, a bit lumpy until warm, then a high tick over, so carbs will need some work. Unfortunately we then discovered the low water was down to a blown radiator which is leaking badly along the bottom edge, so it was turned off.
While it was running the engine was quiet, the exhaust did not blow, the automatic gear box selected gears and the brakes worked. So good news there. Electrics including the heater blower motor worked (headlights do not lift when switched on but operate on main beam flash so not a motor problem).
Having seen a metallic green version sell at another auction last year for 6000, which was not much better in fact worse in some areas than this one, we think it will make a very worthwhile project for somebody. A rare car that is well worth the effort.

Rolls Royce Spur 11 1989 "Pre-production Model - If you like a bit of motoring history, this beautiful Rolls Royce Silver Spur 11 takes a lot of beating! This is the very Right Hand Drive model of this series built and only 310 Right Hand Drive Spur 11s were ever made across the entire production run!
This car was built by Rolls Royce for their own promotional use and described on its original build sheet (present with the car) as a 1989 built, 1990 Pre-Production model and featured in a lot of their 1990 sales brochures. Even more un-usual is the fact it retained some of the Spur 1 features ie the big back window and rear seat, apparently the only Spur 11 to do this!
Retained by Rolls Royce until 1997, about the same time as the company was sold to VW. Then a lady owner until its last elderly gentleman owner who had it for 12 years using it for Mayoral duties. Unfortunately the car never had, to his knowledge, service or handbooks from new. Rolls never needed them but there are old MoT certificates and bills etc. helping to point to the fact that the 49,000 recorded miles could be correct. The bodywork is excellent and in this very rare dark blue metallic colour complimented beautifully by an ever rarer blue "everflex" roof. The Interior is also excellent with little or no wear present on the parchment coloured seats with contrasting but matched to the exterior, blue piping. It still has that "smell" you know the one? That smell you only get in the interior of an old English car with quality hide trim.
The engine, gearbox and drivetrain are described as all good and the active suspension and fuel injection, both a first on the Spur 11, function as they should. No warning lights on the dashboard are illuminated when driving and all other electrical items function as designed. Tyres and all other general mechanics are all very good.
A lovely piece of Rolls Royce history and truly "One of a kind".

Austin Mini Mayfair 1986 One Owner From New!! NO RESERVE - Once more we here at ECCA are proud to of been trusted by the family of the owner of "Molly" the Mini, to offer her for sale through our Auction house. This One Owner from new Mini was owned by their mother and used right up to 2014 when unfortunately she became unfit to drive and had to go into a residential home. After much soul searching, remember the family spent their formative years in this little car, it was decided to offer it via auction with "No reserve" and let the market establish a true value.
Molly herself had covered only 47059 miles when we first met her tucked up in a nice dry garage. We put fresh petrol in, a set of jump leads on and off she went! Hardly surprising though as her comprehensive history shows that the last time she was driven was 11.02.14 when a service and MOT was carried out at 47054 then the garage drove her back home. A staff member drove the 10 miles or so back to our storage bay and she never missed a beat. Engine is quiet and pulls well, gearbox and clutch are great, brakes work etc etc etc. Electrics are all good but a new battery will be required.
The history for this Mini is complete, including its original service book up to 18000 by the selling dealer then Peach Motors a local independent garage the rest of its life. MOTs go back to 2007 and prior to that the receipts show yearly MOTs carried out along with an annual service, so mileage is totally traceable and correct. Along with the service book is a complete set of hand books, owners manuals and a workshop manual.
We have decided to present the car "exactly" as discovered so you can judge just exactly how genuine it is. Yes the rear bumper needs to be replaced and there is the odd patch of corrosion here and there. But no damage on the bodywork, the original dealer sticker and number plates are still in place and all the interior needs is a good clean and some fresh carpet in the drivers foot well (heels eh dont you just love 'em. Carpets dont I know!).
The choice though is to restore to new or just re-commission and use?? A very rare find and here to sell to the highest bidder.
