Audi V8 "Quattro" Automatic 1990 - With less than 200 in total imported into the UK and now only 11 registered as "on the road", this superb late 80s icon from Audi is now a very rare sight on our roads especially in this condition. This is the car that Audi based their very successful entry into the DTM (German Touring Car) winning over 50% of the races in the 91/92 seasons and helping them to the title in both years. Helped predominately by their legendary "Quattro" 4 Wheel drive system.

This particular car may have 154K on the clock but its galvanised steel body work which benefited from a refresh on the paint a couple of years ago, is still very good and rare in the metallic black colour. Its fully optioned as standard, black leather interior is excellent and you can understand why this was Audis flagship motor car of the time.

Mechanically this car is also excellent with its 250 Horse Power 3.6 Litre multi valve quad cam engine still giving this large Saloon car the sort of performance that embarrasses many more modern cars. Being the 3.6 rather than the later 4.2 also has the advantage of running on normal unleaded rather that the premium fuel the larger capacity engine demands. Then chuck in what is probably the best 4 Wheel Drive system you can get you can understand why these cars are so sought after today.

Bought by the vendor in 2015 from a friend that was reducing his collection of over 100 cars, who in turn had had it for nearly 10 years. It will come with an MOT until August 2017 (Previous MOT was in 2007 and all it failed on first time round was its horn not working) There is history up to 102000 miles and in our opinion represents just a whole lot of motor car for not a lot of money!

Ford Mustang Convertible 1964 RIGHT HAND DRIVE Automatic - For all you people out there that say "I really want a classic American car but cant get on with Left Hand Drive" well now here is your chance! They do not get much more classic that an early Mustang and a bright red convertible one at that!!

Declared manufactured in 1964 this "Muzzy" came into the UK in 1987 and the vendors father bought it pretty much "as is" 10 odd years ago. All he did was to source some original wheels, fitted the proper tyres (now covered less than 50 miles) and fitted an Eldebrock "Performer" 500 CFM Carburettor. Unfortunately that was the last thing he did as he passed away soon after.

Now having stood in its garage for 8 years, only going out each year to give it a run and a fresh MOT. The vendor says that while it starts and runs and comes with a current MOT an amount of recommissioning would be advisable prior to use .Apart from the obvious rarity of being a "Right Hooker" the car is optioned with a fully working power hood and disc brakes as well. The 289 V8 under the bonnet is as nice as the rest of the car. All the general mechanics are stated as very good. The body and interior that were restored prior to his fathers ownership are still good with a nice shine to the paint and the interior needing no more than a clean. The dash runs a full complement of aftermarket clocks that all work as do all the other electrical items on the car.

Priced at probably close to half of its true value this car is cheap enough to spend a small amount to convert it back to a LHD car, if thats what you wanted, with every part for a Mustang being easily available, or just leave as is and enjoy having a one of a kind Mustang.

Norton ES2 1950 - With Norton producing their ES2 model from 1927 to 1964 the long stroke motor retained the same, bore, stroke and 490cc, while the chassis received various updates throughout. This particular model, being a 1950 has the then innovative hydraulically damped telescopic front forks and race developed rear plunger suspension, helping to improve the handling over the earlier bikes no end.

As you can see it is tucked away at the back of the vendors garage as part of a small collection of bikes and cars, unfortunately an injury sustained from a car accident way back in the 60s has come back to haunt him now and he can no longer ride a bike.

It has been fully restored a few years back and now the restoration has aged superbly, still in lovely condition throughout but has lost that "just built" brand new appearance. It really is as nice as it looks, not really much more to add "O" apart from sensibly an additional tap has been fitted to allow the oil in the oil tank to be turned off when not in use to stop the traditional problem of oil draining into the engines sump.

Offered with a sensible reserve this great old Norton would fit into any collection or look great in your garage.

Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1300S UK Spec Right Hand Drive 1972 - The Lancia Fulvia Coupe is probably one of the prettiest Coupes to come out of the Lancia Factory. This Right Hand Drive UK spec car benefits from being a "Series 2" 1300S Model so it has the face-lifted body, the new 5 speed gearbox. Its 1298 cc engine now producing 90 hp and larger Girling brakes replacing the Series One Dunlop items. But unlike the Series Three that followed, it escaped Fiats (who by now owned Lancia) cost cutting exercise so still retains the nice wooden steering wheel, better seating with separate head rests and black faced clocks.

Although unfortunately there is no history with this car, for a UK Spec 1972 Lancia to be in this condition it has to of been restored at some point in its life! Its "Lord Blue" paint work while not being perfect, presents very well with no sign of rust, panel fit is good and all trims are present. Interior is very good with just the odd nick here and there. Carpets are obviously newer than the car so were probably replaced at the same time the car was restored and are still in very good order .

Under the bonnet Lancias famous narrow V4 engine fires up easily, shows excellent oil pressure, no sign of any leaks and all very clean and tidy. Gear box, clutch, general mechanics and electrics are good and the car will come with a fresh MOT.

All in all a rare RHD version of this ever popular Italian Coupe, ready to go and priced to sell.

Mercury Parklane Convertible "410 Marauder" 1966 - Wow!! When we first saw this car was as it was slowly but expertly "Navigated" from its winter hiding place, a faceless council garage in a line of faceless garages. It was not just its size that struck you, it is over 18 feet long mind you, but how stunning the paintwork is and how incredibly smooth and quiet its engine was. It really did stop all conversation and you realised what the vendor meant when he had said "Its mint" on the phone earlier that day!

With only 2584 examples of this car built for this year, which was also the only year the 6722cc "Marauder 410 V8" was fitted, this was always a rare car. This one is now thought to be the only one here in the UK with only one other thought to exist in Europe. Having been fully restored to beyond show condition prior to being exported from the US the Caspian Blue exterior is faultless in finish and quality. Sub Note: The Chairman of the "Mercury Owners Club" flew to Seattle in the States to inspect the car prior to its purchase.

Once inside its more of the same, everything correct, working and in superb order. Lift the "hood" and you realise that massive V8 is still running its just so smooth you had not realised! I quote "You can stand a glass of champagne on it and it will not even make it fizz!!" Not that you would want to risk spilling it as its all rather clean under there.

I think you get the general idea. If you are looking for an American convertible from the 60s and you want one of the best. This one year only "matching numbers" car is it. Offered with what on todays market is a very sensible reserve. A truly one off chance to own a beautiful car that has also been featured in various magazines.

Fiat Strada 130 "Abarth" 198 - Fiat took the "Hot Hatch " market by storm when in 1982 some bright spark decided to enlist the help of the famous Italian tuning house "Abarth" who took a 130 horse power, 2 litre version of Fiats superb twin-cam engine and dropped it in the front of the mundane Fiat Strada. Uprated the brakes, gave it one off Cromodora Alloy wheels shod with low profile tyres, a nice subtle body kit and a sporty interior complete with bucket seats in the front. Instant classic Hot Hatch and for a while it was also the fastest one in a very crowded market, out trumped eventually by the Golf GTi. Now while the Golf might well have been a better built car blah blah blah, it still does not have that feel you only get from an Italian car or the sound from that lovely engine. Always slightly rough on tick over but just wanting to be revved. These really are a drivers car.

Today they are a very rare beast, with only 4 currently registered on the road in the UK. This particular car has survived miraculously well, little or no corrosion, its paint having been refreshed at some point and still in very good order. Interior wise the seats and door cards have been retrimed in leather. Apparently the original seat covers are still underneath, although the vendor has never tried to see what condition they are in. All the electrics work and the general mechanics and running gear are all stated to be very good. The original alloys are all in excellent order and are fitted with a matching set of virtually unused Avons.

Being first registered in August 1987 this has to be one of the last cars to arrive here in the UK. Only now available due to its owner reducing his collection to a more manageable size, he looked long and hard for this car prior to purchase. In the pictures it is exactly as it came from storage so not been cleaned, this will be done prior to the auction as will a fresh MOT, there is also large amount of bills, invoices etc for work done over the years.

Note: while the car will have an MOT we would recommend that after standing for the last 3 years that an amount of light recommissioning should take place prior to use.

Jaguar XJ12 "Low Mileage" 1993 - For many years these incredibly rare "Biggest of the Big Cats" were much maligned and as such values slumped to where they were classed as fit for "banger duty". Finally the market has started to wake up to just how good these cars are and as such values are now climbing. Un-molested low mileage examples like this entry are now hard to find with only 19 left registered for road use in the UK. Produced in the then current XJ40 shell for less than two years, the XJ12 version or XJ81 was powered by the largest CC derivative of Jaguars super smooth V12, a 5993cc monster that was quoted at 318 Horse Power, enough for a claimed 150 MPH!

This particular car is offered for sale by the last owners son. His father owned the car from 2006, always maintaining the car and although not warranted the very low mileage shown of only 87000 is believed to be correct and backed up by various old mots and services. Prior to his father owning the car, between 2002 and 2006 the history shows it only covered 1000 miles. It was last serviced and MOTd in October 2016 and has hardly turned a wheel since.

This is not a pristine restored car, what it is though is a genuine car. Its rear arches do have signs of bubbling below the paint, there is a small scuff on one front wing and minor damage to a rear bumper corner ie exactly as his dad left it. Interior wise its more of the same, no real damage to the luxury leather and Rosewood interior (this was an option standard was cloth), some marks here, the odd scuff there but unusually no wear through on the drivers seat bolsters and still a lovely cabin to spend time in. Electrically things are all fine with just a problem with the heater blower, it apparently works but only blows cold.

Overall the running gear is stated as very good, engine gearbox etc are also good. So with the current MOT, tax it and use it. If you have not experienced a Jaguar V12 you owe it to yourself to do so and believe us when we say these Jags will never be this cheap again.

Ferrari F355 Spider Manual Left Hand Drive 1995 - Full details to follow but we can say this gorgeous Ferrari 355 "Spider" was purchased by the vendor after being stood unused in a dehumidified garage for 12 years. A very well-known Ferrari specialist recommissioned the car including removing the engine to replace the belts, service the engine and carry out the safety related factory upgrade to the fuel lines, as well as new brakes and tyres.

After very little use by him it then became part of his collection of Exotic Cars and will be refreshed once more by the same specialist prior to being offered at Auction by ourselves. Still with under 66000 Kilometres on the clock, the pictures do not do it justice and better ones will be available along with the full details once received.

Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO 1972 - Personally we think this is the best 1972 Pontiac Trans Am 455HO on the market today and once you see this stunning car we think you will have to agree! For you purists out there let us start by saying "No its not a numbers matching car". What it is though is a "year matching car" down to even the engine is of the same type as the original unit, being the super rare genuine "HO " unit with the one year only "7F6 castings" big port heads , aluminium inlet manifold and 4 bolt mains caps amongst other things. The product of one mans obsession to restore what was in his mind, the perfect 455HO Trans Am and over the last 25 years plus of ownership this is what he has done.

To list the work that has gone into this car would take pages and pages, a bit like the many magazine articles that over the years this car has featured in. Suffice to say in summary, it was stripped to a bare shell with every single component bar the dash removed. Any corrosion or minor distortion was removed and replaced using "Now Old Stock" parts. The chassis and floors under the car received the same treatment, hand stripped back to shiny metal prior to the floors receiving a heavy layer of Gravitex sealant to protect them for life while the front and rear sub-frames were powder coated prior to refitting. One other thing that needs to be noted is this chassis carries the all important "X" in the Vin that designates this as a genuine "8-455 4 barrel carb, Performance" Chassis.

Up top the original Lucerne blue was painfully matched, many attempts were made prior to getting an exact match to the original factory colour, then laid on by one of the top sprayers in the country to obtain a finish that even now after 10 years or so looks factory fresh. The same level of attention was paid to getting an exact reproduction for the factory stripes with a company in America being commissioned to replicate them perfectly.

The suspension was completely rebuilt using "Polygraphite" bushes throughout and KYB adjustable dampers. Subnote: Such is the attention to detail 4 sets of springs were tried before the right "stance" was obtained and the car sat correctly! We could go on but there is not one area of this car that has not received the same level of attention. Even a set of Factory Build Diagrams were obtained to ensure every clip, wire, spring or rivet, went back "as factory" and these diagrams form part of its massive extensive files of history. Pages and pages of parts lists, receipts etc there must be 4 inches of bills alone!

When asked to value the car, our American car man rolled his eyes and said "Pick a number! How can you compare it with whats on the market today? Show quality examples of these cars in the States (if you can find one) regularly sell for over $100,000!" A sensible reserve has been placed on the car and our estimated value reflects this reserve, not our valuation as we think it is worth more! Bet you never thought you would hear an Auction House say that eh!!

Stunning! This is how this 1972 VW Beetle is described. When the owner at the time set out to restore his car back to better than new condition, little did he think it would take so long or cost so much but when you carry out a full body off, nut and bolt restoration on a car, this is what happens!

Completed 4 years ago now, the results of all this work are evident to any one that looks. Starting with a low mileage car that had been owned by the same family for years. This Bug was stripped to its bare bones, any and all signs of rust, corrosion or wear were removed, where necessary using genuine repair panels. The 1600cc engine was fully reconditioned and stainless steel fixings were used throughout the rebuild of the shell and chassis. Only the best quality paint was used on the body shell with many more coats laid on than Volkswagen originally used.

The interior was completely replaced using new items and according to the vendor even "smells" new, rather than that musty smell old Beetles tend to have. He also says to not forget to look underneath the car as the underside gleams as well as the top!

Described mechanically as driving like a new car and sounding great, the 1600 cc engine whips it along the road briskly while the reconditioned gearbox and new clutch operate perfectly. With every aspect of this car being described as "Excellent" this car is a definite candidate "Best in Class or Show". No its not a cheap Beetle, quality never is, but it is probably one of the best available on the market today!

Mitsubishi FTO GPX "Mivec" Tiptronic 1995 - Having only had two owners since arriving here in the UK in 1997 this lovely condition "Sports Coupe" has still only got just over 119000 Kms on the clock (73000 miles) and comes with loads of history and old MOTs to back this up.
The body work is very good and still in its original and rare to find black paint with the correct graphics in place. There is no rust or signs of repair just a nice deep shine from years of being looked after and polished. Its under the bonnet where the fun is though, here you will find the "GPX" variant of probably one of the sweetest V6 petrol engines made. Mitsubishis V6 24 Valve Double Over Head Camshaft "Mivec" which produces a claimed 200HP at 7500 Rpm. More than enough to give the car shall we say a "spirited" performance especially when coupled to a "tiptronic" auto as this one is. The GPX sensibly also comes with larger brakes than its lower powered siblings and wide alloy wheels, which on this car are in great condition with no kerb marks or corrosion. These cars love the twisty bits that is in no doubt, but they are also more than happy on a motorway or in town traffic. Click the gearbox back over to full auto, switch the air con on and enjoy.

Interior is all good and comes fully optioned with power windows, door locks and electrically adjusted door mirrors that also fold at the press of a button. The heating and ventilation is a full climate control system. Seats are fully adjustable sports type in the front and there is room in the back for two kids or smaller adults.

Mechanically everything is stated to be very good and there is a current MOT through till September so it is ready to go. With the classic car market now viewing Japanese cars as "proper" classics it is hardly surprising that a lovely sporting coupe like this, when in this condition and spec, are becoming sought after. Good looks, stunning reliability, excellent road holding and performance, what is there not to like?

Volkswagen Beetle Convertible 1973 - While not a "genuine" Karmann , this 1973 Beetle convertible has been converted very well at some point in its life, probably around the time it is said to be restored in the early 80s and now while not a concourse example presents very well. The soft top is easy to remove and when in the raised position does not leak, that in itself is very unusual. But lets face it, with the vinyl interior who cares if you get caught out by our un-predictable weather, you buy a soft top V-Dub to enjoy with the roof down and it looks so much better that way.

This particular car, being a 73 has the desirable metal dash and earlier rear lights etc plus the benefit of being in the "Historic" tax class so tax free. After being in storage, being part of a private collection that is being reduced in numbers and on a horrible cold drab day its 1300cc engine fired straight up, no nasty rattles or noises and soon settled into that strange tick over peculiar to VW air cooled engines, blowing smoke rings in the mist. Mechanically the vendor describes the car as being very good and as such he will be placing a new MOT on the car prior to the auction.

Body work is very solid with little or no sign of rust, paint is driver quality and will benefit from a good deep polish to bring it back to life. Interior is clean and tidy and described as good. The fabric hood is good with just some cracking to the beading around the edges from being folded. All the electrics function as designed and the general mechanics of the car are described as very good as well.

All in all, a cheap way into owning a classic VW Beetle convertible in these days of high values being seen at sales throughout the world, with the added advantage for us of being Right Hand Drive.

Alfa Romeo GTV 3 litre 24 Valve 2000 - Launched in 1995 the latest car from Alfa Romeo to carry the coveted "GTV" name, this model received numerous awards, amongst which were "Car of the year Autocar Magazine" and "The Worlds most beautiful Automobile award" with its chief engineer personally receiving the "Engineer of the Year award" but more was to come in 1998 when our own "Jezzer" Clarkson declared it as "The Best Sports Car"!! a high accolade indeed!! The 150MPH V6 24 Valve version of which was king of the hill and the one to be with. Ferrari performance and looks for Fiat money!

This particular example was first registered in May 2000 and with just 103K miles on the clock has stood the test of time very well, the photos taken on a wet misty day do not do it justice. Its body work is very straight and will polish very nicely, benefiting from the larger rear spoiler and front splitter. Interior is typical Italian, black leather and brushed aluminium everywhere and apart from some very minor wear to the drivers seat side bolster, in very good order throughout, a very nice place to be with the sports seats grabbing you when you sit in them giving you a definite hint on the handling prowess of the chassis.

But yes while the interior and exterior are important, we all know that to the people who want these cars the important bit is whats under the bonnet, Alfas glorious 24 Valve 3litre V6 engine and that lovely exhaust note when you blip the throttle, on this car the exhaust and air filter are the only non-standard items being of a performance type, both of which enhance this.

Now 20 plus years after introduction people are once again realising what wonderfully well designed cars these are and prices, especially for the 3 Litre versions are on the up. A true 4 seater "Sports Coupe" with Alfa Romeos pedigree running through its DNA. One you can use to work in the week and a track day at the weekend!

Mercedes CLK230 "Kompressor" 1998 - With only 58500 miles on the clock and a full service history, this 2 previous owner Mercedes CLK230 "Elegance Kompressor" is in unusually good condition and should not be confused with the standard fare on offer today.

Its common knowledge that from 1999 onwards, Mercedes reduced the quality and depth of their paintwork and so the bodyworks ability to stand up to corrosion was likewise reduced. Being an 1998, this cars condition bears testament to this with little or no rust to talk of, just the smallest bubbles under the paint at the base of the front wheel arches commensurate with any nigh on 20 year old car that has not had any paintwork.

Interior is very nice with no damage to the seats etc. Unusual in the pale blue/grey cloth, this complements the silver exterior and gives a light and airy feel when seated inside. Being the "Elegance" it comes with all the usual options, air con (untested, blows cold but it was minus one outside when tested so it would do!), electric windows, remote folding rear head rests, remote central locking, electric mirrors, remote boot release, ABS, Traction control etc etc and has a nice older but quality stereo head unit. All of which appear to work.

The "Super-charged" version of Mercedes 2.3 litre engine is a little gem, very smooth and economical when wanted in town etc but with instant "oomph" when required, especially with the automatic gear box switched to semi-auto it really does give good performance, cruising with ease at motorway speeds (or Autobahn speeds if in Germany). All aspects of this car are given as very good with recently fitted new rear Michelins tyres matching the fronts and a new Mercedes battery. Currently MOTd till April there will be a new MOT carried out prior to the Auction.

Only now on sale due to loss of licence for medical reasons, this lovely Mercedes coupe just has to be brilliant value at the reserve price that has been set.

Ford Escort MK3 Cabriolet 1.6 "Low Miles" Very Rare Colour 1985 - This incredibly solid and very rare coloured early MK3 Escort Cabriolet has a thought to be correct low mileage of only 25,100 miles on the clock, backed up by the 20 plus old MOTs that come with the car. So although no mileage can be guaranteed it is likely to be right.

Having spent most of its life garaged in Ireland, it has survived the normal ravages of time that these very collectable Fords of this Era suffer from. Just minor stone chipping etc that the vendor will have corrected prior to the Auction. Note. The front spoiler is slightly out of line as it was removed to facilitate loading on to a car transporter rather than risk damaging it, this too will be corrected before the auction. The pictures are as it arrived not even cleaned, so you can see just how straight and clean this car is.

Its 1600 cc engine runs very well, starts straight up and performs well on the road, the gearbox etc feeling like they should with such low usage. The under bonnet area again points to the low mileage and has no sign of rust on the inner wings and battery tray (very rare to find) although the vendor would recommend a full service prior to usage along with further light commissioning to the car as a whole.

Interior is the same story, very good with nothing more than a good clean required to bring it back to a very high standard. Even the roof is the original item that with just some minor shrinkage at the lower edges, commensurate with age. It still fits as well as Ford made it too, lets face it they all leaked a bit even from new, but this car has none of the tell-tale signs of stains on the seats so who knows!

Being presented at auction with a new MOT and on its UK Log Book, with the afore mentioned light recommissioning this car with a little further work would make a very unusual but desirable car for the shows or with the way all 70s and 80s Ford prices are going up, a sensible but usable investment.
