Armstrong Siddeley 12-6 Saloon 1933 - Having purchased this car in 1997 the vendors father spent many an hour tinkering in the garage, making what was already a good car, better. Unfortunately in 2008 he passed away and left this and the rest of his collection to his son. Since then, other than being run out on the odd occaision to keep everything free and operational, it has remained where he parked it. Having decided that it was time for it to go we are proud the vendor has chosen us to do this for him.
The car in question is a very rare model 1933 Armstrong Siddeley 12- 6 Model, designating it as having a 12hp 6 cylinder engine.Previous to the vendors father purchasing it, it had under gone a full restoration and is still in excellent condition externally. The interior trim shows slight signs of dryness to the seat leather, or "Patina" as its often called, otherwise is very nice with all the rear blinds, exit handles etc in place. Mechanically it is spot on and would need very little re-comissioning if any acording to the vendor, prior to use. The 6 cylinder engine and its "pre-select" gearbox both operate well and it brakes in a straight line. Obviously you do have to remember it is a Vintage car and should be treated as such.
The other notable thing about this car is its history file with invoices, bills of sale etc stretching right back over its lifetime, complete with old pictures of its restoration at the end of the 80s. These cars rarely come to the market and as such we feel the vendor is being very realistic with his reserve on this beautiful bit of motoring history.
Better pictures will follow when we have it out of the garage ( when the rain stops!)

Fiat 500D "Suicide Door" Museum Quality!! 1963 - One of four superb cars entered by the same vendor and only now available due to a change of direction in his purchases, this stunning, ultra-desirable, 1963 Fiat 500D with its rare forward opening "Suicide Doors" is described as "Museum Quality"!!

This "500" has been "sympathetically restored" using all the correct period parts and the end result is what you see today , the result is beautiful or maybe it should be " Bellissimo" to be correct. The end result is an exterior that is in fantastic condition with no rust or marks, bear in mind this was never a rusty hulk to begin with, just a car that needed a little tlc here and there. The interior is also superb and needing no more work, all in a great condition and period correct.

While having the cosmetics attended to the mechanics were also checked over, anything that needed doing was done including a service to the engine. A new generator was fitted as it showed low charging and now this rare 500 stops, starts and drives perfectly.

The vendor has set all areas of the car as "Excellent" and you know what? We agree with him. With a current UK MOT through to February 2018 this little 500 is ready for a new home.

Ford Cortina 1.6 MK5 - Considering just how many Mk5 Cortinas that were once on our roads, especially here in Essex, seeing one at all is a very rare site let alone one in this true "Survivor" condition with just over 25000 miles on the clock!
In its original factory colour of Tuscan Brown this 1981 W registered MK5 is described as a 1.6L Model with factory fitted GL interior and wheels and has had 4 previous registered keepers in its life.
As you can see its condition, along with all its previous MOTs, backs up the mileage. The lack of corrosion is on the whole from having an anti-rust "Ziebart" treatment from new (original Ziebart certificate is present with the cars paperwork) along with the obvious lack of use during bad weather.
Interior is excellent with just the slightest signs of usage and all original. The condition of its switch gear etc bears testimony to their lack of use over the years.
Since owning the car, the vendor has carried out regular maintenance and repairs to keep the car not only in its current condition but running and driving correctly. Including but not limited to a new "Weber" carburettor with a manual choke conversion. A full service including a new cam shaft kit with the very necessary replacement oil feed bar to get rid of the original poor Ford designed bar that caused so many noisy camshafts back in the day. New shock absorbers and springs and a fully "Polly-Bushed" front suspension. With all this done the car drives very well with no mechanical faults and all the electrics operate as designed.
The car comes as mentioned previously, with all its old MOTs and Ziebart certificate, plus old tax discs, bills to prove the work listed above and its original bill of sale. Currently the car is on "SORN", the previous MOT running out March 2016. The vendor also says it comes with some spares but at the moment we are not aware of what these comprise of.
This car is already good enough to be a show car and with a little effort could well be a show winner. A must for any Ford collector.

Jaguar MK2 3.8 "5 Speed Manual" 1962 - Now entered in our March 5th auction is this glorious 1962 3.8 Mk2 Jaguar, which is only available now after long-term ownership by the vendor.
The bodywork and interior are described as "very good" with recent new carpets and having been restored at some point and although not the original hue of green, the car presents very well .

Jaguar MK2 2.4 Manual 1969 "Low Miles" - Needing no introduction is this lovely 1969 Jaguar MK2, with its shape being instantly recognised as one of the most popular and sought after cars of its Era. Unusual in its day for being favoured by both "Cops and Robbers" and made famous through the years by their many TV appearances.

This particular example is powered by Jags smooth 2483cc engine coupled to a manual gearbox, both of which are described as being "In fine fettle" hardly surprising as over the years this car has been fully restored and has only covered a fully documented 64000 miles!

With the car is a massive file of invoices for the work carried out over the years including photos showing the work done underneath on the suspension etc, showing things like the new bushes being fitted through out and is complete with the original log book. With the restoration having been carried out over time and while still in very good order, there are a couple of small blemishes to the bodywork but nothing that detracts from its appearance and with its deep shine to the paint and chrome, this car presents very well.

The lovely red leather and wood interior is in very good order and correct right down to its period radio, contrasting superbly against the dark blue exterior. These cars are really a very nice place to spend time in, truly representing the quality that Jaguar of that time were famous for, just a great blend of comfort and functionality. With this in mind you can understand just why they are so sought after on todays market.

Prices continue to climb as both enthusiasts and collectors fight over nice examples but with the sensible reserve the vendor has set on this car both, will have an opportunity to own it. Currently MOTd through to November and being described as very good throughout, complete with its orriginal log book.

Ford F250 Custom "Camper Special" 1978 V8 Auto - This lovely, rust free,1978 Ford 250 Custom "Camper Special" Fleet Side truck is equipped with Fords venerable 351M V8 Petrol motor and automatic transmission, which gives it superb low down pulling power but easy cruising capabilities out on the open road. The engine fires up on the button and soon settles to an even tick over. The vendor has up-rated the fuel delivery with the fitting of a "Facet" electric pump running through a "Filter King" filter before it gets to the carb and backed this up with an additional safety feature of a fuel cut out system in case of an accident, complete with a re-set button under the bonnet.
Being a Camper Special it has heavy duty suspension, heavy duty brakes with "twin pot" callipers up front and large drums on the back, plus twin long distance fuel tanks. All of which are reported to be in excellent running order. Both front tyres and the spare have recently been replaced with the correct spec tyres, rears are very good.
Body work is very good, straight and polishes well with the additional bright work etc you get on a "Custom" spec truck being present and nothing missing. Unusually both bumpers are in good order including the heavy duty rear one. Any lights etc that may of needed replacing have been while in the current ownership. Underneath you will find that it has been professionally undersealed to protect it from salt etc and again is in excellent order. With the truck is also the loading beds tonneau cover and rubber floor liner, plus a removable tow hitch and full caravan electrics through the standard 13 pin socket.
Inside is more of the same, everything very nice with no splits in the dash or damage to the seats or door cards, in fact exceptional for what is after all a truck that the vendor does use, not just show off at the weekends! (Sorry for the bits of straw on the carpet in the pictures but that was my fault as not mastered the art of walking on grass without making a mess).
So if you want a standard truck in excellent condition that drives well and is "turnkey" ready to use, this Ford really must be considered. Offered at a reserve which we judge to be very fair and at a price you could not buy and import a truck of this quality from the States today, in fact why would you bother or even take the risk??

Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Sport 1988 - Needing no introduction this lovely Porsche 911 is in very good condition, its body having received a repaint at some point and now having no more than a couple of minor faults. There is just something so evocative about this shape with its large rear spoiler and low stance. This particular car has "RS Style" colour matched front and rear bumpers but the vendor has the originals if preferred and these will be included in the sale at no extra cost ( collection to be arranged separately), these along with the Fuch alloy wheels add to the overall look of the car.
Interior condition is good with the two tone leather bucket seats in good order. If being really critical (which the vendor is) the carpets are showing signs of wear and if he were keeping it he personally would replace them, but they are still very serviceable. The rear seat back rest pads, for what they are worth, are missing. Not that you can get in the back unless you are a "small" person.
Mechanically it is all good news. With only an average 159K on the clock and a full Porsche and Porsche Specialist history up to 105K , then more stamps at 157K , the 3.2 Litre engine in the back still "pulls like a train" and puts a grin on your face every time you get he chance to use it "properly". No need to rev the hell out of it, just loads of "grunt" in all the gears and that engine noise peculiar to Porsches famous Flat 6 engine. All helped by this being a late model car so has the later "G50" 5 speed box , so giving a more precise gear change.
The vendor does bring to our attention that all electrics including the front seat adjustment and electric roof etc work but at the moment the electric adjustment on the mirrors has stopped functioning "O" and for the purists, they are actually later 993 Mirrors. He would not be selling the car, but having only covered 2000 miles in the 3 years he has owned it and it sits blocking up the garage, the wife and kids have won the argument and its time for someone else to enjoy the car.
It comes with the history already mentioned, a file of receipts and invoices and is currently MOTd until May 2017. Offered with a very reasonable reserve so making it a rare opportunity to buy one of Porsches finest thats ready to go at an affordable price.
NOTE: The vendor has said he will be getting an oil and filter change, plus a check over, prior to selling the car to be sure all is good for the next owner.

Ford Thunderbird 1955 - Fresh out of storage is this "Iconic" American automobile, a first year of production 1955 Ford "T-Bird" Coupe. Still in its original Raven Black exterior over a black and white two tone exterior and with the rare full size "Continental pack", wire wheels not hub caps, electric front seats and electric windows. Appearing to of had a respray in the original colour at some point in its life that while not being factory finish and with the odd reaction mark here and there, will polish nicely, has no damage and is rust free. Underneath the car is excellent, again no rust just discolouring from age on some components (it is over 60 years old) and obviously benefited from being stored on a concrete floor. All the bright work is present but has signs of age but looking to be all original. It comes with the soft top and the optional and very sought after hard top, the finish on which has suffered from being stored under a cover that caused micro blistering to the paint
Interior wise things are very good, still with its correct seat covers etc . The dash is very tidy with no cracks to the dash pad or missing instrumentation, the original radio is still in place, even the cigarette lighter is there. The instrument binnacle lens does have some degrading of the plastic but is still clear to use. Electric windows etc all work and with very little effort will clean very easily.
After being stood for so long we have been asked to recommission the car so as of yet, not attempted to start the engine ( it arrived with us this afternoon 27/10/16) but we will report of the mechanical side of things once in a position to do so. The vendor does report that prior to him storing the car, it drove very well.
These instantly recognised first generation Thunderbirds were only made for two years, total production number is quoted as 16,155 in 1955, so not exactly a high volume car when new and now very rare and sought after. Prices are up year on year and it is hard to find such a solid and original car. No its not perfect but it is an honest car just waiting to be improved by its next owner or just enjoyed exactly as it is.
UPDATE: Now after having a rebuilt starter motor and replacement power lead from the starter to the starter solenoid, which had deteriorated through heat and age to the point it no longer passed current, it runs. Engine is very quiet and shows no sign of smoke or over heating, ticks over smoothly and revs cleanly. Body has now recieved a hand polish and although now shines very nicely and is definately fine for use, has reaction in places (worse on the hard top) and some touch ups. Interior is excellent with all dials etc working. A real peach in the makeing with attention to the paint could soon be a show winner. New Pics show it in the workshop.

Fiat Topolino 500 1951 - Having had only minor restoration work carried out in Italy prior to export to the UK this lovely "Topolino" is very original throughout. The exterior has that lovely patina that comes of years of polishing and being so original it would be a shame to paint it especially as it "shows" so well. Interior is the same, no it is not new and shiny but has that feel to it you only get after years of being used but looked after.

Mechanically the engine runs very well having just been serviced sits there happily ticking over and pulls cleanly out on the road. Gearbox, brakes and the rest of the general mechanics are all good as are the electrics on the car.

It is so rare to find a "Topolino" as original as this in this condition. Ready to be used and enjoyed and offered with a sensible reserve it will make its new owner proud.

Volkswagen Scirocco "Scala" 1989 - Far rarer than its brother the Golf and now becoming very sought after is the Volkswagen Scirocco and the special addition "Scala" was always a rare sight even when new. This particular car has survived incredibly well with diamond straight body work and no signs of rust and being a Scala, is as original and finished in factory white with its special edition alloy wheels (which have recently been restored). Open the tail gate and all the usual suspect areas where rust can be found are like new, including the underneath edge of the tail gate and boot floor areas. Inside the door shuts on the A post are signs of the original factory grease still and the car was Ziebarted from new to stop any rust getting into the chassis, doors or floor pans.
The interior is incredible, totally original with no signs of wear not even on the driver seat bolsters, un heard of without being retrimed! The 1800cc injected engine fires instantly and soon settles to an even tick over, the vendor has just had a new exhaust manifold fitted. He reports that on the road the car feels so much newer than its age being quick enough to have some fun, while not being expensive to run. Its gear box and clutch are good along with all the general mechanics and electrics. But no more than you would expect from a car that has only 100,497 miles on the clock and is complete with an excellent full service history ( VW up to 68,000 year 2000 then VW specialist ) plus a file full of receipts, bills, old MOts and its handbook. With a current MOT through to June 2017 and not to be confused with the "Normal" VWs on the market, this car is truly ready to go and offers an excellent opportunity for any collector of 80s cars or Volkswagen fan.

Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 11 1979 - This beautiful piece of British engineering was ordered when new by the Rolls Royce main dealer in Hong Kong, M. D. Motors. They had it built for their client and as the island still under British rule then, it was built to UK Spec and shipped out to them. While in Hong Kong, M.D.Motors continued to service the car for this owner right up till 1999 when he returned to the UK and bought the car back with him, at this point the car had only covered 33000 miles (its a small island Hong Kong). Now back in the UK he had the car serviced by his local Rolls Royce specialists up to when the vendor bought it, with only 42000 miles on the clock! The V5 still only shows the one owner since re-importation and the condition of the car is backed up by a massive history file from new.
What can be said about a 37 year old Rolls Royce with only 42000 miles on the clock? It is obviously in an excellent all round condition and the photos do not do it justice. Paint work is next to flaw less with no signs of repairs or damage. The Cardinal red it is finished in is complimented very nicely by the pale sandy brown of its leather interior, The first thing you notice when you open the doors is not only the superb condition of the seats, both front and rear and that smell you only get in an older quality, but the quality of the wood dash and door cappings and their lack of cracking, very rare especially on the dash. They have that lovely well-polished look that only comes over time and you lose if refinished. The front seats have the rare optional head rests fitted. Move into the back and its the same beautiful condition with the foot rests in place still, look up and the leather headlining appears to be unmarked.
The vendor says that when he drove it back nearly 350 miles the only thing he could fault the car on was it seemed to have a slight "patter" at speed, this was traced to one tyre being out of true so all four were replaced with the right Avons, not a cheap alternative and normal service was resumed. It now drives as it should. All aspects of the car are described as very good, with only the electric aerial not working. The motor turns so probably just a new internal mast required.
The service history on this car is like a book, cataloguing its life from the original order from the Hong Kong dealership, its bill of sale, letters from the shipping company, bills, receipts and invoices for work done and when done, to all its hand books, old MOTs and will have a new MOT prior to sale . Truly a full history, one owner, very low mileage Rolls. A rare find indeed!
Sorry for the poor pictures but the car was blocked in on the day we visited. They do not do it justice.

The Jike Trike a 5.3 Litre 3 wheeled monster!! - Wow! What the hell is that??? Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is exactly what it looks like… a Trike powered by a 5.3 V12 Fuel Injected Jaguar XJS Engine and the product of one mans obsession to “create” something a bit special. Over 4,000 man hours and £50,000 + later the “Jike Trike” was born. There is no point in trying to describe this vehicle as you really need to study it for hours to do it justice. Virtually the whole thing is hand made and one off where the chassis etc are concerned with the original car donating its running gear, back end and rear seats. It really does make you proud that there are still people out there that continue the “anything is possible if you think about it” engineering philosophy that we are famous for here in the UK. For those of you that want the ultimate toy or an interesting revenue stream as people will queue up to hire it for Proms, weddings etc. This IS the only one in the world!

MGB GT 1979 Manual with Overdrive - This nice and unusual in white, MGB GT was last used when it participated a European road Rally which it completed without a problem, then on its return home it was parked in a garage which is where it has been since 2008.
Overall the body work is very good, nice and straight with only minor areas that could be improved on and in no way to be mixed up with the rusty hulks often offered for sale. Its solid condition you would think, is due in the main by the anti-rust treatment this car has had, the presence of anti-rust treatment plugs in the holes they drill to fill the chassis doors etc with treatment proving this. It is equipped with a rare Webasto slide back vinyl roof which does have two small splits, one each side where it folds, but is still serviceable and looks to be the original.
Interior is good with the original seat covers in place. There are no nasty rips etc but there are some marks from where items had been stored in the car, these may clean. Roof lining is very good, as is the dash that has no damage at all, the floor carpets are good as well. Mileage on the clock reads 85387 and looks like it could be original, but with no history there is no proof of this. There is however, a very nice "Moto-Lita" steering wheel in place. This was fitted prior to the European trip and that is the only use it has had.
Mechanically the engine and box are both good, with the engine showing very good oil pressure even when hot. The general mechanics are good with brakes etc working and all the electrics function properly. To sum up, this is not a show car but one you can use and improve as you go, or just leave it alone and just enjoy owning one of Britains favourite and much loved classic cars.
With prices on these "Rubber Bumper" models now heavily on the up, its refreshing to have a running driving solid car being offered at a sensible reserve.

Ford Fiesta "Java" 1600cc 1994 - A classic in the making? Well if its like every other Fiesta that went before it this tidy MK3 version is destined to be especially when as rare as this one is.
In 1994, just before the MK4 Fiesta was introduced to the range, Ford produced the "Fiesta MK3 Java" as a bit of a special model, featuring as standard a higher quality interior, a sunroof, 5 doors, alloy wheels, 5 speed manual gearbox, electric windows, remote boot release and power steering and equipped with their venerable 1300cc engine. But they also offered it with a 1600cc twin cam engine under the bonnet, why you have to ask as it was marketed as a small family hatch back. How many were sold in this spec no one seems to know, but this being one of them and with only 25 in total (1300 and 1600cc) being licensed for road use, its pretty rare.
With only 3 owners, a full history, low miles of just short of 58K and a current MOT through to September 2017, its hardly surprising the vendor describes the car as mechanically sound. But he also says out on the open road the extra 50% power hike over its 1300cc sibling, can really be felt with performance more akin to a hot hatch of its time. Gearbox, clutch breaks etc are all good. As are its original alloys and its tyres.
Body work is good but with all that engine under the bonnet the heat has caused the paint to dull and really needs to be resprayed, other than that polishes well with just a few dinks and scratches. Offered at a price it is worth buying and just sticking away or as an excellent intro into the "retro" car scene for our younger clients.
