This very pretty 1979 MG Midget was subject to a full restoration a few years back and still presents very well today. Body wise apart from a couple of places requiring slight attention, the paint is bright and shiny with the interior still being very good. The dash with its traditional clocks, is in very good condition as is the renewed when restored soft top. In the boot is all good as are the inner wings etc under the bonnet. Comes with its toneau cover, new tryres and a stainless exhaust all being recently fitted.

The 1500cc engine fires at first ask, soon warms off choke then settles to a nice tick over. On the road it gives a surprisingly spirited performance, with its short throw 4 speed gear box being ideally geared to add to the fun. When you chuck in its handling capabilities as well, you can understand why these diminutive cars are so popular and with their easy to live with mechanicals, make such a good classic car not only for the home maintenance enthusiast but for entry into classic car ownership.

MG Midget 1979 - There is a folder full of bills invoices etc dating back years, plus old MOT's and the original owners handbook , so lots of history and a fresh mot.

Mercedes 500SEC 1984 - Although described by the vendor as a rolling restoration this particular car is better than that. In fact mechanically it is spot on with just some rectification to the body work required.

As with many Mercedes of this era the rear arches are beginning to suffer at the ends, more so on the right than the left, but again i have seen far worse. The lacquer has begun to go on the roof and boot lid and there is a small area of corrosion on the leading edge of the bonnet, under the paint but that's about it. Otherwise she is solid as a rock and pretty much dent free.

Interior wise the leather trim is all good needing no more than a good clean and treating and is fitted with a very expensive MOMO steering wheel. Carpets are all good as are the roof lining and door cards. So no real problems there.

Mechanically again, typical Mercedes and almost bomb proof. With the sought after 5litre engine up front, its more than capable of cruising all day long at high (70mph) speed and in comfort. The vendor still uses this car daily and in his words "would go to Cornwall in it without a thought" With 131366 currently showing and with a full history up to 119000 (there has been another service since when the water pump was also changed but no invoice or stamp) its hardly suprising the engine is so good as these will see 200000 miles plus and not even notice it.

All electrics are good, but the drivers window is temperamental if lowered further than half way and the driver's seat electric control switch has lost its buttons but still operates correctly. As you can see in the pictures it comes fitted with expensive Lorinser alloys shod with almost new tyres all round.

What makes this Mercedes interesting, apart from its low reserve price is that the vendor says it was previously owned by the boxer Billy Walker (aka "Golden Boy") who fought people like Henry Cooper while challenging for various British and European Heavy weight boxing championships.

Offered with a very attractive reserve, a rare model in a rare colour , road worthy and with a famous owner in its past, its got to be worth a look !

Jaguar E-Type Series 2 2+2 1968 RHD - From the pictures you can see this lovely Series 2 E-Type has been in storage since it arrived here in the UK from New Zealand where it has been part of a private collection.

The red body work is rust free and very straight with nice quality paint and need little more than a good polish. Interior is in the popular black leather and is very good through out, again some detailing would not go amiss but this is not to be confused with a restoration project, it is far removed from that and well within the realms of a private man with a polish cloth. As you can see the correct wire wheels are fitted and in good condition as are all four tyres.

The 4.2 6 cylinder engine fires instantly and settles to that Jaguar purr loved by all. The vendor reports that the 4 speed manual transmission operates correctly with a nice clutch action, while that 4.2 engine pulls strongly through out the rev range with good oil pressure and correct water temperature. The general mechanics are all good and the electrics operate correctly.

Coming with all the relevant paper work to register on the road here in the UK and with which the vendor is more than happy to assist you with. This car gives and represents a good oportunity to own a Series 2 E Type that is right hand drive, in a popular colour combination, not been rusty and as always so damn good looking!

Ford Thunderbird 1955 (TBC) - Fresh out of storage is this "Iconic" American automobile, a first year of production 1955 Ford "T-Bird" Coupe. Still in its original Raven Black exterior over a black and white two tone exterior and with the rare full size "Continental pack", wire wheels not hub caps, electric front seats and electric windows. Appearing to of had a respray in the original colour at some point in its life that while not being factory finish and with the odd reaction mark here and there, will polish nicely, has no damage and is rust free. Underneath the car is excellent, again no rust just discolouring from age on some components (it is over 60 years old) and obviously benefited from being stored on a concrete floor. All the bright work is present but has signs of age but looking to be all original. It comes with the soft top and the optional and very sought after hard top, the finish on which has suffered from being stored under a cover that caused micro blistering to the paint

Interior wise things are very good, still with its correct seat covers etc . The dash is very tidy with no cracks to the dash pad or missing instrumentation, the original radio is still in place, even the cigarette lighter is there. The instrument binnacle lens does have some degrading of the plastic but is still clear to use. Electric windows etc all work and with very little effort will clean very easily.

After being stood for so long we have been asked to recommission the car so as of yet, not attempted to start the engine ( it arrived with us this afternoon 27/10/16) but we will report of the mechanical side of things once in a position to do so. The vendor does report that prior to him storing the car, it drove very well.

These instantly recognised first generation Thunderbirds were only made for two years, total production number is quoted as 16,155 in 1955, so not exactly a high volume car when new and now very rare and sought after. Prices are up year on year and it is hard to find such a solid and original car. No it's not perfect but it is an honest car just waiting to be improved by its next owner or just enjoyed exactly as it is.

Volkswagen Scirocco "Scala" 1989 - Far rarer than its brother the Golf and now becoming very sought after is the Volkswagen Scirocco and the special addition "Scala" was always a rare sight even when new. This particular car has survived incredibly well with diamond straight body work and no signs of rust and being a Scala, is as original and finished in factory white with its special edition alloy wheels (which have recently been restored). Open the tail gate and all the usual suspect areas where rust can be found are like new, including the underneath edge of the tail gate and boot floor areas. Inside the door shuts on the A post are signs of the original factory grease still and the car was Ziebarted from new to stop any rust getting into the chassis, doors or floor pans.

The interior is incredible, totally original with no signs of wear not even on the driver seat bolsters, un heard of without being retrimed! The 1800cc injected engine fires instantly and soon settles to an even tick over, the vendor has just had a new exhaust manifold fitted. He reports that on the road the car feels so much newer than its age being quick enough to have some fun, while not being expensive to run. Its gear box and clutch are good along with all the general mechanics and electrics. But no more than you would expect from a car that has only 100,497 miles on the clock and is complete with an excellent full service history ( VW up to 68,000 year 2000 then VW specialist ) plus a file full of receipts, bills, old MOt's and its handbook. With a current MOT through to June 2017 and not to be confused with the "Normal" VW's on the market, this car is truly ready to go and offers an excellent opportunity for any collector of 80's cars or Volkswagen fan.

MGB GT - This nicely presented MGB GT was prepared for a European road Rally which it completed with out a problem, then on its return home was parked in a garage which is where it has been since. Now recommisioned and with a fresh MOT it is ready for its new owner.

Body work is good with only minor areas that could be improved and not to be mixed up with the rusty hulks often offered for sale. It is equiped with a rare Webasto slide back vinyl roof which does have two small spilts, one each side where it folds, but is still servicable and looks to be the original. Interior is very good and needs no mre than a good clean to improve. Mechanically the engine and box are both good as are the general mechanics of the car. To sum up, this is not a show car but one you can use and improve as you go, or just leave it alone as its no disgrace as is and enjoy owning one of Britains favourite and much loved classic car.

Chevrolet GMC Silverado 5.7 V8 “Step- Side” 4×4 Truck - This very rare to find in this spec, 1991 Chevrolet Silverado “Short Bed, Step-Side” truck is equipped with a potent 5.7 Litre V8 Petrol engine! “Ye-har” as our cousins over the pond would say!! But best of all it is also the 4 wheel drive version so with all that power going through GM’s bullet proof Automatic gearbox and 4 wheel drive system, straight onto the ground, this truck is not for the feint hearted! Its vendor does however say that with a lighter foot on the pedal, it is surprisingly good on fuel and docile in everyday use, he regularly loads up the back for tip runs etc.

Being such a high spec truck it comes with all the creature comforts of a luxury car, electric windows, central locking, power steering, air conditioning and cruise control to name a few, all of which function as designed. The seats are in a more luxurious cloth than the lower spec trucks in the range and have proved to be very comfortable on the longer journeys. All of the interior is in very good order.

Body work is very good with just one small crack on the l/h rear bumper capping and has some nice touches throughout. General mechanics are very good as are the external electrics on the outside of the truck. The engine is superb, starting instantly and soon settling into a quiet but meaningful throb. On the road it pulls cleanly through the rev range and the automatic gearbox changes smoothly , brakes are very good and the exhaust note, although definitely allowing the truck that um-mistakable V8 noise, is not to obtrusive.

All in all a very tidy truck in a rare configuration that needs nothing and can be a stylish load -lugger or a show truck, the choice is yours? Supplied with a current MOT so ready to go

Ford Mustang “Saleen” Evocation 1987 5 Speed Manual - Built to replicate the Saleen Super Car (SSC) Ford Mustang built in the late 80’s, there is barely a part on this car that has not received attention. Starting with the appropriate model, a V-8 LX hatchback the owner took the original 302 Cubic inch motor out and had it fully tuned to give it the proper performance it should have, prior to it being refitted. The full build sheets are available documenting the work done, there was far too much done to list here. Next were the induction system, ignition and exhaust systems, all fully up-graded using the best aftermarket parts available. All driving through a fully up-graded 5 speed manual transmission and back axle. Let’s not forget with all that extra “Storm” you need better brakes so these have also been up-graded. Exterior was treated to the appropriate body kit with the correct decals and colour matched alloy wheels, while inside was more of the same. Correct stripes on the door cars and dash, up-graded leather seating, extra clocks in the dash to monitor what is going on under the bonnet and a sports three spoke steering wheel to finish off! The whole car is in very good condition, inside and out, having lived its life first in America then the South of France so the body is rust free and very straight. All the work previously mentioned comes documented and the car has a current UK MOT plus the relevant paperwork to register here in the UK if required. It has a reserve set that does not come close to the money spent on building the car and has to be one of the best value performance Mustangs available on the market today.

Ford Escort RS2000 1995 - Getting rare and sought after now are these mid 90’s RS Spec Escorts. This one shows a low recorded mileage and forms part of a small collection of cars the vendor is now offering for auction due to failing sight. Having sat unused since its MOT in April.

Body work is good with no damage other than the odd mark here and there. Interior is very good with little of no wear to the Recaro interior that was part of the RS spec and all the electrics work. General mechanics are good . Engine wise the 150 HP Ford used in this model, fires straight up and the vendor says drives well ,pulling strongly through all the gears.

Mini Pick Up 1980 - “Blimey! I cannot remember the last time I saw one of those!” If you are the new owner of this now very rare 1980 Mini Pick-up, best you get used to hearing those words. Once so prolific on our roads and the mainstay of many a small business, the much loved Mini Vans and its rarer relative the Pick Up have all but disappeared today and it is very un-usual to see one for sale outside of Mini clubs etc.

But here we have a lovely example on offer. It is a 1980 1000cc Version with only 66500 miles on the clock and having been subjected to a full restoration a few years back is just in a lovely all round condition. Its MOT history confirms that between 2009 and 2013 it covered a mere 50 miles, in fact between 2008 when the records start and 2016 at its last MOT in September this year, it has covered a total of 3394 miles!

As you can see the body is great with any rust or corrosion concerns taken care of prior to its respray. Mechanics were all gone through and today it drives well with the famous Austin Morris “A series” motor in 1000cc guise, pulling well and making it a surprisingly nippy drive. Interior is well, basic ( the windows open) but that’s how things were for these utility work horses, as it is all is in good condition with just one small tear in the vinyl on one seat. General mechanics electrics etc are all very good and with its current MOT through to September next year it is ready to go.

We do not need to point out that any Mini today is desirable with prices climbing weekly not yearly. So if you are looking for something that you can use as an everyday classic or to be different from the rest at the shows while its value climbs, this is definitely one to consider.

Rover 3500 P6 1974 Restoration Project - This Rover 3500 P6 is the classic case of a new owner of a property that is to be demolished and built on, opening a garage and finding a car! Ok not a Ferrari this time but still a now desirable old P6 Rover.

This first registered in February 1974 Rover is being offered exactly as found, for restoration purposes or if inclined a superb source of parts. There are no keys or paper work but the registration is still current with the DVLA, so if wanted you will have to apply for a V5 Log Book.

As you can see it had been stood un-discovered for a good few years, but towed out of the garage so its wheels do turn. It appears to be all there and chrome work looks pretty good. It does have rust in the sills etc and the vendor stresses he has no real interest in the car and is as far as he is concerned, selling it for parts so makes no further comments.

Will be with us on Auction day, so please have a good look yourself if you can attend the Auction or if not contact us now with your details and once we have it with us, we can phone you to give a fuller description, so allowing you time to either place a commission bid or bid live on the phone. (Please note both of which will involve registration prior to bidding).

Ford Capri “Cabaret” 1.6 - Exceptionally rare car, even more so in original, unrestored and unmolested condition with this mileage.

47,800 miles with 2 previous owners, the last being an elderly gent from 1990. Warranted mileage with all MoT’s available from 1990 to date. Totally rust free and never restored. Prefect original sills, suspension turrets and all wheel arches. It has original paint with the exception of the bonnet which has been painted at some point. The only evident area of previous attention is been the drivers door top hinge area which appears to have had some work possibly due to a worn hinge.

By no means concours and showing signs of use with the odd scratch, little chips, marks and dings here and there plus the odd “that’ll do” minor repairs such as replacing the rear parcel shelf hold up cords with string. This all adds to the cars charm and patina. Complete with Original Ford folder including Owners handbook and Operating Guides plus various spares, receipts and invoices – it even comes with a hand written red Excercise Book listing all work performed and expenses incurred from 1991 – 2014 which is absolutely priceless!

The car drives faultlessly and can be enjoyed as is or easily be made into a concurs winning example if desired. Fantastic.
