1965 Letter From Manchester United To Northampton Town: Lovely letter on Manchester United headed paper from assistant manager Jimmy Murphy to Dave Bowen the Northampton manager. Northampton were about to get into division one and he states you have done a magnificent job. It mentions he wishes Northamptons ground was bigger and thanks him for giving McGregor a trial and Man Utd were going to let him go to Southampton. Dated 26 4 1965 and signed Jimmy. Superb piece of history from Busby Babe temporary manager to congratulate the man he brought into the Welsh team on Northamptons greatest hour.
