An interesting 1914 trio star medal group comprising a 1914 Star Medal, also known as the Mons Star, a medal for service in France or Belgium between 5 August and 22 November 1914, alongside a British War Medal and Victory Medal. All awarded to 7785 Pte S W Tinsley Essex Regiment. All medals have their ribbons. Alongside the medal group is a memorial card informing date of death to be the 3rd July 1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme, an Essex Regiment card and envelope. Information surrounding the Essex Regiment is also included.
