Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 Convertible 1989 Stunning in Black this 1989 5.3 Jaguar XJS Convertible with only 86000 on the clock has Main Dealer service history right up to the last service that was carried out by an Independent Jaguar Specialist at 77827 back in 2006 so only another 9000 miles covered in the last 11 years! In its history file is a stack of old MOTs going right back to its first MOT in 1992! The black body work is very good with no corrosion past two very small areas on the tail of the boot lid where some minor bubbles under the paint are just beginning to show through. The l/h rear bumper corner does however have small area that will need to be replaced to bring the car back to excellent. Elsewhere all the bright work is very nice and the fully functioning black convertible roof is in excellent order. Inside is the same very nice with the pale beige leather contrasting beautifully with the cars black exterior. The Burl wood veneer on the dash and throughout is in excellent condition as are the original carpets. Only the drivers seat has very minor signs of usage which is to be expected. On the road that superb V12 engine is still as smooth as the day it was built wafting you down the road in comfort while you enjoy owning what is fast becoming one of the most sought after classic cars on the market today. The auto gearbox changes up smoothly and with a prod on the throttle down happily. If you are tempted to do that you are quickly reminded that these V12 Jags were a fast car in their day and still are today the engine note changes to a nice purposeful growl and effortlessly the scenery outside slides past a lot quicker. The general mechanics on the car are all stated as being good and the electrics work correctly even the LCD read out on the dash mounted trip computer works now that is rare! The current MOT is until December and the original owners wallet with handbooks and Service history is with the car. Lovely!
