Saab 9000i Carlsson 1990 The last of the three Saabs we have on offer from the same collection is the rarest. Now with only 18 examples left registered as on the road this lovely white June 1990 registered Saab 9000i Carlsson is a very unusual sight. Named after Mr Saab himself Eric Carlsson rose to rally fame by winning several rallies as a Saab works driver. This particular car also has the even rarer and more desirable flat front to its bodywork. Powered by a turbo charged DOHC 16 valve 1985cc engine giving a quoted 204 BHP delivered through the front wheels via a 5 speed manual gearbox performance is good with a sub 7 seconds 0 to 60 claimed at the time. The current owner/collector has had this car as his road car for the last 8 years this was his Go To car for long journeys to Europe etc always reliable and enjoyable to drive especially as the Carlsson came with all the usual luxuries of a top line Saab but also has a very comfortable Leather and Alcantara trimmed interior electric mirrors adjustable headlamp height cruise control a rear sun blind and a rare electric sun roof plus integrated Saab CD player and a working climate control system that has been converted to modern day gas. Coming with an extensive record of service and workshop work and with 129363 miles on the clock mechanically everything is very good with the engine and gearbox still giving the same sort of punch as designed back in the 80s. Body work is very good with all the special Carlsson body kit in place. Interior is very good and all electrics functioning as designed. Outside its special Aero alloy wheels are in good shape with excellent tyres. This extremely rare hard to find in this condition car is MOTd through to July 2017 having passed its last MOT with no advisories and had little use since.
