Mercedes 350SL 1972 - Still one of the prettiest Mercedes sports cars produced and instantly recognised, if you buy an R107 Model you will have to get used to hearing "Nice Merc" when you're out in it. This very pretty early example has been well maintained by its owners with anybody work needed being rectified throughout its life so now is in good overall condition but just a few blemishes. Interior is the same. The interiors on all Mercedes of this era are not known for their longevity but this cars two tone interior is original and just need s a little tidying. The level of engineering quality that Mercedes poured into these cars means that on the whole, unless abused, the engine gearbox and transmission are not normally a problem and this car is no different with its 3500cc V8 engine being very good and still pulling strongly while the other areas of the transmission are good too. All other functions, apart from the electric aerial, work correctly. Coming with its colour matched hard top, a good soft top and an MOT this car is being offered with a reserve set at half of what we have seen comparable cars being sold for so someone is going to get a bargain!!
