Ford Escort MK1 2 Door 1968 - This superb and rare to find Escort Mk1 2 door was a rust free, never welded, but standard 1300L until its then owner in France decided to uprate it to 1300GT Spec and beyond. The engine had a tuned GT head fitted with a 4 branch exhaust manifold, GT inlet manifold and carb plus a high lift cam shaft and performance exhaust which sounds lovely. 1300GT Suspension was fitted all round and (sensibly) with all the extra performance the brakes were upgraded to have the GT brake servo and front discs. Bucket seats were fitted in place of the original front seats. Prior to the new owner bringing it into the UK he had to travel to various other parts of France, so being impressed with how this car drove he used it to make the trip and reports that it was "Blinding, never missed a beat and excellent fun" Oh and did i mention "sounds lovely!" Now here in the UK and being offered complete with a UK MOT, French papers and a fresh NOVA, it is ready to be registered onto UK roads if sold to a UK Buyer, which ECCA would be happy to advise how to do, or for a small fee would do it on their behalf.
