Captain Jumbo -Sponsor: FRP Advisory Artist: Hannah Lewin The design Captain Jumbo celebrates the maritime history of Southend-on-Sea. From its humble beginnings as a small fishing community to the current day Leigh Marina, there are many stories and tales to be told. The elephant is dressed as a sailor, complete with a yellow Macintosh, all patched up from the many voyages he's undertaken. Look carefully in their design and you may see a few ocean creatures who have hitched a ride onboard the Captain too.

All our yesterdays -Sponsor: PACE Property Artist: Karis Youngman Elephants never forget their holidays through the years. Riding the fairground rides, eating ice cream and building sandcastles. Exploring the history of the D-Day little boat, watching the airplanes soar through the air and being Knights up at Hadleigh Castle. Then after a long walk up the pier the elephants are very glad they can ride the train back again!

Sure to raise a smile, this design is instantly recognisable as one of the brightest fish in our oceans - the clownfish! Inspired by Southend-on-Sea being a seaside town and the popular Sealife Adventure Aquarium, this design also highlights the importance of caring for our ecosystem. The clownfish, like elephants, have a caring nature, a lot like the amazing care and dedication given at Havens Hospices.

Duke - Partner: Southend-on-Sea City Council Artist: Surfex Coverings The vibrant patchwork elephant took five days to decorate, with six people working shifts to complete the design. A real team effort! Surfex normally resurfaces vinyl nationwide, including cruise ships, hotels and office refurbishments, but this was the first time they have ever wrapped something quite so different.

The hearts on the side of the elephant start small and spiral out all over the sculpture, signifying the spreading love around. Elovephant represents taking time to care for others, no matter how small a deed you do, it can mean a lot more than you think.

Here, our Ecophant is providing a refuge for some of Asia's most endangered species. In addition to her own family of elephants, she's sheltering Sarus cranes, orangutans, Bulmer's fruit bats, and smaller creatures, such as tree frogs.

The way we live our lives is rapidly changing to combat global warming, James believe in tackling these issues at grass roots and encouraging young people to care about the environment is the way forward. This design is there to spark interest and educate people of what's directly around them.

Keith - Partner: 6rs (Sixredsquares) Artist: Peter Cass Peter's dad, Keith, sadly passed away last year after suffering from a rare form of blood cancer. He was a colourful, joyous, larger than life character who lit up a room. His favourite animal happened to be an elephant and this design pays tribute to him, using abstract shapes to represent his personality traits, likes, dislikes, achievements, sense of humour and love.

This sculpture celebrates the resort town's history with a vintage-style design featuring illustrations of classic theme-park rides. Nelly the elephant has packed his trunk for a trip down to Southend-on-Sea.

They share sorrow and bring comfort to each other in exactly the same way as humans do. Judy wanted her elephant to carry some of the words and phrases used by people; during her dad's illness and at his funeral. Passing Phrase is dedicated to Judy's dad, Tony Perry (1933 - 2021). The Mandala dot painting was picked as the style after Judy taught a workshop on the art form and realised how relaxing and calming this style was, taking the pupils away from the pressures and thoughts of everyday life
