A large ceramic dish made and designed by Norman Stevens & David Hockney. Circa 1957-58. The dish with applied colours of willow blue and black. (Slight damage to one end) Size 57cm x 18cm. Provenance:made and gifted to the Vendor Mr Peter Richards. The dish with the pencil and ink sketch from both David Hockney and Norman Stevens. The original pencil sketch will be sold with the dish and a copy of the letter to the vendor from David Hockney.

Considered to be the first cat made by David Hockney. 38cm long 35cm High 12cm wide. The cat sold with the original design and letter from David Hockney to the vendor. Provenance: Made by David Hockney and given as gift to the Vendor Mr Peter Richards. The cat of kindness, David Hockney made 5-6 Ceramic cats with varying colour ways all where given as thank you gifts including one given as wedding gift. This is considered to be the first cat made and the only one with accompanying documentation from David Hockney.
