Empire Pool Wembley Arena 1933 Opening Memorabilia: One off opportunity to obtain from the opening ceremony a VIP Empire Pool + Sports Arena programme with red white and blue ribbons to spine. The photos inside the stunning hardbacked brochure are beautiful and incredibly in this lot are 5 original press photos with 4 of them being artists impressions. The Stadium which started off as the Worlds largest swimming pool (hence Empire Pool commenced) was started in 1933 and opened in 1934. Enclosed is the menu to the opening Luncheon and the table plan which was held at the Dorchester Hotel. Included are 4 programmes for the first four days. 1970 West Brom Match Worn League Cup Final Shirt: Coming direct from Tony (Bomber) Brown the clubs top goal scorer and appearance maker. White long sleeve shirt with number 4 to rear made by Umbro with the famous Throstle sewn in above the words League Cup Final 1970. Naturally a 47 year old white shirt has some decolourisation, but has survived without any rips or tears. The front cover of this catalogue depicts Tony in February 2017 still managing to get in his old shirt. Letter of authenticity available from Tony if required.

Derby County 1970s Football Programme Newspapers + Binders: Incredibly rare original very large binders to hold the hard to get Newspaper style programmes that Derby used in the 70s. The first binder has 71/72 on it and the other 6 do not have a year but do have Derby County embossed to the front. There are possibly 100 programmes enclosed in these binders. These programmes are hard to obtain and are always the away programme you need in the 70s if you collect a different club that played them. Tottenam Hotspur 1938 Football Turnstyle Coin Plate: Superb item like a heavy pewter ash tray in style with Cockerel embossed and the word Bisto with threepence coin welded in. GW Dodd embossed and letter A as it was used by Turnstyle operator "A" to put throopenny bits in until they were weighed. (see previous lot).
