1970 World Cup FIFA Gold Football Medal: To celebrate winning the World Cup for the 3rd time the Brazil team including Pele Felix Rivellino Tostao etc attended an event held by FIFA. The same medal was presented to English referee Ken Aston who was in charge of referees for the whole tournament and fundamental in bringing in new ideas including red and yellow cards to the World Cup tournament. The medal we have been advised is 21carat Brazilian gold weighing 101 grammes and its 5cm diameter is hallmarked. Rare medal indeed.

Officially named Taca Independencia Do Brasil Confederacao Brasileira Desportus. Brazil won 1-0 in the last moment. Medals were issued from bronze up to gold with winners Brazil getting gold along with a few other dignitaries. This was awarded to Ken Aston who was in charge of referees and comes direct from his family. Hallmarked medal weighs 62 grammes.
