Geoffrey Lusty for Lloyd Loom,designed 1957.A rare ''Sputnik'' linen basket of orange colour woven whicker and globular form on a lacquered steel frame with three angular legs and having a circular wooden cover with manufactures applied plaque,it is believed that fewer than 100 of these models were made. An example of the ''Sputnik'' linen basket was sold for £ 1,320 (including buyers commission) in the Bonhams,London Vision 21 auction 26/April/2006 and another for £ 780 on the 18/March/2009 both referring to there being under 100 of these Lloyd Loom baskets ever produced.
