A 19th century Chinese lacquered games box the cover applied with five panels depicting mountains and dwellings against a night sky and the interior fitted with five further boxes in very good condition with similar images of fantasy landscapes within patterned motived borders,the boxes containing a total of 88 various carved mother of pearl counters,overall good condition,the top with wear commensurate with age

Dodds by Miss E Thompson - Painter of The Roll Call 1877''. Elizabeth Thompson painted The Roll Call, bought by Queen Victoria, and used Sergeant Dodds as an advisor on military uniforms in the painting.
