West Ham 1938 Football Letters + Memorabilia: Correspondence mainly sent by West Ham Director Mr Cearns to Sid Gibson who was West Hams Scout. Often relating to Sids health but also references for football jobs he applied for. There is a letter from Mr Cearns enclosing a 50th Anniversary velvet menu of the Football League in 1938 which has Mr Cearns name embossed to cover. There is a letter signed by Gibson telling the West Ham Director he can not return to West Ham sent from East Ham hospital where he died weeks later. Interesting items.

Both have club name and season embossed to cover for Charlie Paynters assistant and West Ham scout Gibson who passed away in the 38/39 season. C/W his pass to get into all grounds on behalf of West Ham in 37/38 and his hardback handbook for 37/38 which has his name embossed to cover. (4)
