All awarded to 7785 Pte S W Tinsley Essex Regiment. All medals have their ribbons. Alongside the medal group is a memorial card informing date of death to be the 3rd July 1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme, an Essex Regiment card and envelope. Pte Johnson was born in Witham and was involved in the 9th Service Battillion attack on Ovillers. Surrounding information including images of Johnson's name at the Thiepval Memorial are included.
