Sir George Paynters Own Sporting Scrapbooks: Incredibly in depth scrapbooks from 1908 until it ends where he states in bold War Declared. Anyone familiar with history will know George went on to become highly decorated and there is a lot of information on him on the internet.
They famously covered his real story on Downton Abbey with regard to an affair with a nurse. There are hundreds of letters from famous people of  notory from some of the best addresses in the U.K. congratulating him on winning the 1908 Grand Military Gold Cup. There are hundreds of autographs from pre 1st World War noble men including on hunts and point to point racing plus hunt ball programmes, photos, newspaper cuttings and lots of letters on headed paper from addresses that end in House Palace Abbey or Hall. A historian could write a book on him with this information. Two large hardback quality scrapbooks the first embossed GP 1908. The paper cuttings state he is the most popular contender in National Hunt Racing. Must view.
