German WW2, Knight's Cross of the Iron cross, silver hallmarked with letter of provenance from the Institute of Orders Researchers in Berlin and "confirming they believe this to be an original piece, stated to have been awarded to SS-Hauptscharfuehrer Karl Heinz Worthmann on Mar. 31. 1943 at Kursk who was KIA 6. July. 1943" it was exchanged against provisions in 1946 by Dr Klietmann with associated paperwork including sales receipt from regimentals
