A cased flintlock boxlock pocket pistol by Twigg (London). Born Grantham 1732 died 1790. Worked from a number of places, but mainly the Strand No.132 opposite Catherine St. Contractor to East India Company in partnership with John Bass (Twigg & Bass) in Piccadilly. It is understood that Robert Essex, 224 The Strand, supplied the box and retailed the pistol and also the accessories. The powder flask is by Syres (please note powder is still in the flask).
