A very rare English bowie type hunting & sporting knife by Wilkinson Pall Mall. Conforming most similarly to the 1869 pattern Wilkinson RBD Hunting knife. The blade measuring approximately 11 inches in length engraved P.A. Champion de Crespigny Lieut R.N. with stag horn grip and white metal cap with conforming PAC de C monogram. Ownership attributed to Philip Augustus Champion de Crespigny (1850-1912). Born on 22nd July he was a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy and played for Hampshire Cricket Team 1880-1886 and Hampshire Gentleman 1886-1888
