Captain P. Penguin - Sponsor: Wilson James / Artist: Sandra Russell / Sandra Russell was inspired to create Captain P. Penguin with the idea that although the penguin is a flightless bird, Captain P. Penguin can fly and is an absolute ace! Sandra remembers visiting the Southend Air Show many years ago, watching from the top of the cliffs, all the varied planes fly by, including the Spitfire, Concord and the Red Arrows. Sandra is a painter, illustrator and storyboard artist. She works mainly in advertising, creating digital drawings to visualise adverts before production. She also paints traditionally in oils, acrylics, and watercolours, specialising in landscapes and portraits.
