Ford Modeo 1.8LX Mk1 1995 Very Low Mileage While researching this car I discovered a strange fact. In 1995 when launched there were 134300 Ford Mondeo 1.8LX Manuals registered on the road in the UK. By 2001 when numerically there were the most 1.8LX Manuals registered for road use the number was exactly double at 268300! Strange Eh? But even stranger where have they all gone today? Once the first choice for sales men and company cars the 1.8 engine was introduced to make the most of the then government tax laws so many of the cars did hundreds of thousands of miles were run into the ground then scrapped. Whereas N159BWC was the lucky one having only covered a mere 38000 miles and is in a lovely condition. Its owner reports all aspects of the car as being Excellent and that no restoration work has been carried out as its not been needed. There are many every day cars that become invisible to us so many of them you dont notice them anymore.
