Range Rover 4.0 litre 1999 First Registered in March 1999 this very good condition 4.0 litre Range rover has just come out of long term company ownership since 2009 unfortunately its service history and hand book pack has been lost so although it is only showing 106K on the odometer apart from all the old Mot certificates dating back to 2008 where it shows the very low usage (95309 miles) there is no way of proving what the vendor considers to be correct the low mileage on the car. Having said that take a look round the body work and you will soon see that apart from a small dent on the front l/h wing caused very recently where the car was stored hence why now up for auction the body is in very good order. The dark blue paintwork polishes nicely and give the car an air of class. Interior is the same no rotten worn out and baggy drivers seat as is the norm on these cars. All very nice no not perfect as the car has been used but nothing that would need instant attention. The electrics all appear to work (Note : drivers window while operating correctly does make a noise as it closes fully if you hold the button up this also causes the information display to tell you this). Comes with both its key fobs but only one works. Mechanically described as very good. The important air suspension operates as designed and the engine is excellent starting easily with no smoke or untoward noises and giving a nice mellow V8 sound through the aftermarket exhaust. The switchable automatic gearbox functions correctly in all modes and d the transmission is quiet in operation. All in all a whole lot of car for not a lot of money These P38 range Rovers do represent excellent value on the Classic 4_4 Car Market at the moment. With early series Range Rovers fast pricing themselves out of the market for all but a few P38 prices are rising but still offer an affordable alternative.
