Fiat 124 Spider 1982 - Having been owned and maintained regardless of cost by the same gent for the last 31 years, this is a gorgeous example of one of the prettiest Fiats produced, the Pininfarina designed "124 Spider". Presented in its original Rosso red with tan interior and hood, this colour combination is one of the best available. Its owner has had the paint refreshed once in his ownership, the one and only time this has been done as the paint was fully original prior to but was just beginning to fade. Today it shines beautifully after years of high quality polish being routinely applied. The tan interior and hood are both very good with no damage and precious little wear in evidence. All the clocks and electrics function correctly and the doors shut with a satisfying "clunk". With only 54000 miles on the clock and with all the old MOTs to back this up, the engine is as crisp as the day it was fitted and this car, being a last year of production unit, not only has the 1995cc version of Fiats famous Lampredi designed "Twin-cam" motor but it also benefits from Bosch fuel injection so giving it well over 100BHP. More than enough to give you a change to enjoy the superb chassis down the twisty bits. Although as you can see, the original bumpers have been removed and the original steel wheels replaced with the correct period alloys, these are all available from the owner and are in good order, purely removed to enhance the aesthetics of the car in his mind(and ours). The alloys are shod with matching Michelin tyres. Along with these parts comes all of the old MOTs and Tax discs plus the hard to find, original tool kit. You will look long and hard for a car with this pedigree, yes you might find a cheaper one but not a rust free car like this and certainly not in this condition. The reserve that has been set is a realistic one and a small price for a red Italian convertible styled by a top Italian styling house that will only increase in value.
