Mini Pick Up 1980 - “Blimey! I cannot remember the last time I saw one of those!” If you are the new owner of this now very rare 1980 Mini Pick-up, best you get used to hearing those words. Once so prolific on our roads and the mainstay of many a small business, the much loved Mini Vans and its rarer relative the Pick Up have all but disappeared today and it is very un-usual to see one for sale outside of Mini clubs etc. But here we have a lovely example on offer. It is a 1980 1000cc Version with only 66500 miles on the clock and having been subjected to a full restoration a few years back is just in a lovely all round condition. Its MOT history confirms that between 2009 and 2013 it covered a mere 50 miles, in fact between 2008 when the records start and 2016 at its last MOT in September this year, it has covered a total of 3394 miles! As you can see the body is great with any rust or corrosion concerns taken care of prior to its respray. Mechanics were all gone through and today it drives well with the famous Austin Morris “A series” motor in 1000cc guise, pulling well and making it a surprisingly nippy drive. Interior is well, basic ( the windows open) but that’s how things were for these utility work horses, as it is all is in good condition with just one small tear in the vinyl on one seat. General mechanics electrics etc are all very good and with its current MOT through to September next year it is ready to go. We do not need to point out that any Mini today is desirable with prices climbing weekly not yearly. So if you are looking for something that you can use as an everyday classic or to be different from the rest at the shows while its value climbs, this is definitely one to consider.

Estimate £7000 to £8500
