Austin 16 1946 - With its new for this model, 4 cylinder 2199cc engine producing 67hp helping to make the Austin "Sixteen" a good choice when looking for a post war classic car that you can use on today's road, these cars are rarely offered for sale. Here we have a lovely non restored example of this model that was first registered in 1946.The vendor, who has owned it for the last 8 years, states its condition as "good" in all areas. Now taking into account that it has not been stripped to its bones at any point, its condition is actually very nice with areas of patina concurrent with its age. This car is one to be used and enjoyed. Its black and maroon bodywork is solid with that deep lustre only coming with older paintwork while its brown leather and cloth interior reminds of how things used to be done by Austin, before the days of British Leyland. General mechanics are good with the engine pulling well and all other functions operating properly. Offered here with a very sensible reserve price. To be used as is or with some minor improvements, be ready for next year's show season.
