Mercedes 300SL Convertible 1991 - Needing no introduction these early 90's mercedes convertibles are probably one of the best buys on the market today giving "soft top" motoring in a quality car for a rediculously low price, but this is all begining to change with nice examples now going up in value and becoming very sought after by those in the know. This particular car is definately in that category, not only being finished in what a lot of people consider to be the best colour combination of a silver exterior over a full black leather interior, but with only 94910 miles on the clock and having been owned last by a very particular member of the Mercedes Owners Club. The exterior is imaculate with little or no signs of usage and complimented by a colour matched hard top and a brand new last year, set of genuine Mercedes alloy wheels shod with expensive Continental tyres. The electrically operated black soft top is in superb order and is fully fuctioning.Interior is more of the same with unlike most offerings, lovely supple and un-damaged leather that has obviously been "fed" regularly.Again the previous owner was not happy with the carpets and kick plates so these were also changed last year for new items. Coming fully loaded with options including air conditioning and cruise control all of which function correctly. The three liter engine fitted to this car manages to strike a lovely balance of delivering a nice punch when needed but still giving good fuel economy with the automatic gearbox changing smoothly. All other mechanical functions are very good. Supplied with the car is the original owners pack, service history and old MOT's plus the current MOT which is until March next year. This really is a fantastic example of this appreciating classic and not to be confused with a lot of other lesser cars on offer today. One to buy and keep for sure.
