Lotus Cortina MK2 Right Hand Drive - With only 34 Lotus Cortina's now listed as registered with DVLA in total, they are a rare site but ask yourself "When was the last time you saw a MK2??" Being the even rarer of the two Lotus Cortina Models this MK2 was built in 1968 and is a UK car so right hand drive. Having been restored, is rust free and was resprayed in the original factory colours. Engine and gearbox are very good with the engine having had a recent rebuild apx. 200 miles ago so will still need an amount of running in, plus an oil and filter change is recommended in another 300 or so miles to be on the safe side. Interior is very nice with just a small crack in the dash pad on the top of the instrument binnacle and a lovely patina of age, while mechanically it is described as all very good. Under the bonnet where the interesting bit is, is very nice and with very little work would be show worthy, but to hell with that! These cars are meant to be driven with the engine, exhaust note and handling only a Lotus Twin Cam can give, there to be enjoyed. Prices on all "Fast Fords" rise year on year and this represents a chance to buy one of the most desirable Fords produced. With the car receiving a fresh mot prior to the auction, it will be ready for its new owner.

Estimate £17000 to £20000
