Rolls Royce Silver Spur 11 1989 This Silver Spur 11 is the very first Right Hand Drive model of this series and a total of only 310 Right Hand Drive Spur 11 were made across the entire production run . This car was built by Rolls Royce for their own promotional use and described on its original build sheet (present with the car) as a 1989 built, 1990 PreProduction model and featured in a lot of their 1990 sales brochures and as such, unusually, it still retains some of the Spur 1 features (big back window and rear seat to name two). Retained by Rolls Royce until 1997, about the same time as the company was sold to VW. Then a lady owner until its last elderly gentleman owner who had it for 12 years using it for Mayoral duties. Unfortunately the car never had, to his knowledge, service or handbooks from new. Rolls never needed them but there are old MoT certificates and bills etc. helping to point to the fact that the 49,000 recorded miles could be correct. The bodywork is excellent for this year, as is the interior with just a small amount of wear comensurate to its age. The engine, gearbox and drivetrain are described as all good and the active suspension and fuel injection which (were a first on the Spur 11) function as they should. No warning lights on the dashboard are iluminated when driving and all other electrical items function.
