An 18th century brass tobacco/snuff box of lozenge form, the lid with central cartouche depicting the Prussian King Frederick the Great, with inscription 'Fridericus Magnus Boruss Rex'. Beneath is the Prussian coat of arms depicting the eagle and crown, and above is a raised scene of a military rider with army tents beyond. The reverse of the box displays panels of text written in old Dutch, possibly referring to the Prussia vs. Austria war of Austrian Succession 1740-1745
